Default Revisiting the Hcg Diet....After regaining everything
Greetings.
Last fall I did the program with YourHCG homeopathic drops for 30 days and lost 18#....and felt
FABULOUS. Full of energy, not hungry...a great experience. I began a second round as directed....this time buying injectable HCg and I was never able to get my hunger under control. Long story short....Gained back everything. I got an email from Yourhcg today and want to try again. Have any members had similar experiences? Was there a good result, or will it be more difficult to lose?

Thanks,

Jackie

Yeah. Me too with the bad decisions, Jessica. I still have a bottle of the injectable powder and fluid to mix with it in the fridge from the beginning of the year, but I really didn't seem to do as well on it. So I will bite th bullet and buy the drops again...if I hear back some positive things.

I know from what I have heard it will be the same maybe a little slower than R1 but you'll still have looses. I wish I had all the correct information from the beginning cause it would have been different. I lost about 20, but had all the wrong info using the clinic's shakes & bars so had I done it correctly in the beginning I think I would have stuck to it, lost ALL the weight I wanted to and stuck to my guns!

I think where I went wrong from R1 was doing a short round... I never stabilized & then just said to hell with it and gained all the short round weight as well as the 1st full round.

SO, I WILL just do the R2 again and hope for the best! I hope other people post some stories as well to help us in our disaster!

This is my third round. First time I did fantastic. Lost 15 lbs and felt great. Gained it back with stupid decisions and tried another round last year. I didn't have my head in it at all and ate off protocol almost from the very first day. I gave it up after a few days.
I managed to gain yet another 15 on top of the 15 I lost and gained and knew that something had to give. I spent a long time (maybe a month) really getting my head around another round. I'll be honest, this one has been very difficult and I've had 3 days that I just went around my kitchen like a hoover vacuum eating all the things I was NOT supposed to. I suffered some setbacks every time but never stopped the diet. I'm not on day 24 and have lost 15 lbs. I'm glad I stuck it out and plan to continue with the P3 and P4 as protocol suggests. I will then do another round to take off the last 15 lbs.

My advice to you is to make sure you're mentally in it and refer back to your previous round (that you were successful on) many times throughout this one. It helped me to know I've done it before so I was able to push through the tough times. This diet certainly isn't easy but it really works!!!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Btw, I do sq injections. I'm thinking about doing prescription subling on my next round tho.

Hi girls. I've done a couple rounds of hcg and have basically kept most of the weight off; however, this summer left me craving sweets and junk, so.....needless to say, I'm trying to get myself riled up to do another round. This time, I'd like to do a round like my first one because I had the best results and stabilization. I followed the protocol exactly. I've tried and failed a few times in the past couple months to do a round but I always end up modifying and cheating. I have NO idea how much I weigh, but I do know that the only clothes I can fit into now I wore during my second round. I'm probably looking at 145-150 range. I want to get back to 130ish and follow the Leptin diet. I have had major binge eating issues the past few weeks which is pretty scary in itself as I had NEVER done this sort of eating before last year.

It really does help to hear others' success stories. Soon, I plan to add mine.

Hello!

I don't know if I can say that I am re-visiting the diet but I guess I am starting fresh in a way??????
I did my first round of hhcg in mid june until late july and lost 33 lbs (incl 6 lbs load weight!). i tried my best to do a p3 and p4 but that kind of went out the window I am still currently down 23 lbs (up ten from the end of R1) and I have been trying to start my second round for weeks now but I keep cheating!

As of this past monday I have recommitted myself and I am doing pretty good but losing a lot slower than round 1 but I must stay on track because I leave for an 11 day trip to cancun and playa del carmen in 25 days!!!

I am hoping to find encouragement through your posts on this thread and to stay on track as now I am accountable to you guys

Good luck!!!!!

Did you successfully stabilize and complete P3 & P4 in both of these rounds or did you return to regular eating after P2?

I was never able to get my hunger under control. Long story short....Gained back everything. When you're ready for P3, you might check into the Leptin Reset. I gets the hunger under control, and some people continue to lose a few lbs, while others stabilize like a rock.

I stabilized P3 & P4...before starting my second round. I lost about 8# in my second round, was miserable the whole time, and then spiraled out of control. That was in January. I teach at a culinary school, and have been extremely weak willed. I was wondering how those who have been in my position (total regain) have fared when they tried again. I guess that there is nothing to do but try again and see how it works out. I will either lose weight or struggle. Struggling to get into my pants now anyway, so I think that I will give it another go.

I will look into the leptin reset. My doctor is also checking my cortisol levels (as well as all of those other perimenopausal things) gonna figure this out and get to a weight where I can spend the rest of my life at.

Hi guys!! I think most of us found that round 2 was harder than round one....the diet is not so new and exciting any more, the weight comes off slower because you are thinner than you were when you started the diet....etc. The closer you get to goal, the slower the weight comes off in general.....and thats true of this diet and all diets, unfortunately. . As far as gaining weight back that you have lost....you can still use hcg to lose it again, and it shouldnt be any harder than the first time. You need to get your dose right so you are not hungry during your round....and then do a proper p3 to stabilize. As lisa said, alot of us are using the leptin reset diet to stabilize in p3 and it seems to be helping. Also, you need to decide that you are making a lifestyle change....you really really cant go back to eating like you did before, or you will gain weight. Sorry.... .

Of course I realize that eating in excess & eating too many carbohydrates is what put the weight back on, and it will always do that to me. Just wanted to know if the body becomes resistant to this protocol if it is attempted after regaining. Atkins folks who lose a tremendous amount of weight their first go round often find that the weight won't budge if they try to do Atkins a second time.

I'm almost done with my third round, and found that my loses were comparable each time. If you're sticking to the protocol, you shouldn't see much difference round to round, but people tend to "modify" a bit more with each round. I crept back up about 12 pounds after round 2 and was doing a third round to get back to where I was. As of this morning, I've dropped below my lowest weight and plan to keep going for another week.

I thank all you returning members so much for posting here, I think it's really invaluable. So many people regain weight or go off the diet never to be heard from again. But people who fell of the wagon and share their lessons really contribute to this forum because the rest of us can learn from your insights and/or mistakes.

While everyone agrees HCG makes losing wt relatively easy, people are mixed about the maintenance part. In my opinion, the ease of maintenance trumps in importance, and if it's so hard to maintain after hcg, then this diet really isn't better than any other diet out there..

I'll be entering p3 in a few weeks and would be interested in what regainers have to say about mistakes they have made in P1-P4 and what they think contributed to their personal difficulty in maintaining...

I got my HCG in the mail yesterday and now I am just waiting for mu vials & needles so that I can start. I am hoping they come in the mail tomorrow since I want to start my diet on Sunday! I think I will only do one day of loading & eat relatively P2 on day 2. I have a lot of weight to loose so I don't want to have to worry about a ton of loading weight to come off!

I will also be doing this round the 1st few weeks without a scale since it's in storage in Austin. I won't be able to return to Austin for at least another week... so I am kind of happy I won't have the scale to worry about each day & getting discouraged. I will just have to go with how the clothes feel! I know with how I am feeling now... completely disappointed in myself for going on this binge eating lately and put on so much weight... I KNOW I won't be straying from protocol!

Thanks for everyone's comments!

I am completing my first week of R3 P2. Something to keep in mind when considering regaining the weight lost is HOW the weight is gained. For me, I became horribly ill with pneumonia and bronchitis the first week of R2P3, following by injections in knees for arthritis, all while moving into my house. No way to follow proper diet that's for sure. I think the timing of it all just flat out killed the possibility of actually stabilizing.

R2P3 and P4 I was doing correction days like every third or fourth day for gosh sakes, still keeping an extra couple of pounds on. This round the absolute focus is on stabilizing after P2, I'm intending on doing the Leptin Reset in P3. While the correction days help, it's not how I want to live the rest of my life. I was able to stabilize like a rock after R1, having basically whatever I wanted, which makes it all the more frustrating!!!

Bluetechseeker = I was basically like you after R1... I could eat whatever I wanted without moving at all on the scale! I didn't creep up a bit in P3 or P4 even if I ate starch or sugar. I made the mistake of doing a short round =( I couldn't stabilize... was working 12 to 24 hour days at a restaurant where I had been recently hired and here I am about 3 months after my short round having gained ALL of the weight back from the short round AND R1 =(

Definitely NO more short rounds EVER! I think I am actually heavier now than I was when I started R1 and I am super sensitive to eggs which I never was before. I can't even eat them without getting sick =( and I LOVE eggs... they are so simple & quick! I will have to try the sensitive thing that's listed on here to get over it once I am well into P4 after R2.

This is so me! I am on day 8 and I do great during the week then the weekend comes and I also hoover the fridge!!! UGH! I am trying so hard to get my mind into this because my only other option is weightloss surgery - but it's just so hard! I'm not physically hungry but I am mentally!! If anyone can relate - how do I stop this mental block?
