Does anyone know how it's manufactured or made? I know that it is found in the urine of pregnant women, but I am curious how the Hcg is actually something that can be injected or taken as drops...

I was thinking about this too. I know that just $1.00 goes a long way in "other countries" which just so happen to be the type of countries that people often get the stuff from.

Dunno how it is synthesized, but I can see some super-lab paying pregnant women in poverty a buck to pee in a cup. Maybe even less. Then they run it through a few steps in a lab and have a product that is marked up 2000%. Hope that's not the truth. I also hope that my clothes are not made by children who are, in essence, slaves...but I tend not to dwell on that too long either.

If you research on IBSA Switzerland you will see that they collect their HCG out of their China plant Qingdao Huashan Biochemicals is a plant expressly developed for the production of the raw material needed for the extraction of IBSA hormones. It is located in a rural area of the Chinese peninsula of Shandong, close to the ocean. Urine collection activities run daily throughout the year under management of specialised staff. Early purification

Basically, most drugs that you get at your US pharmacy are manufactured outside of this country....so if you went to a clinc and got prepared hcg shots...the product probably came from the same place you are ordering it from. The WHO is very strict....we have the FDA in our country.., but all the rest of the world goes by the WHO....including, ahem...our FDA. Reality is there are very very very few of the drugs we consume every day actually manufactured in the USA. Just keep telling yourself...just because I BOUGHT it at my local store does NOT mean it was made in the USA.

Funny, a co-worker and I talked about this just yesterday...

I've always pictured a hen-house type set up, where pregnant women sit in stalls, are fed gallons of water, and sit there for an 8 hour shift (watching TV, reading magazines) and pee at will. A troft under the stall catches all the HCG laden pee and funnels it down to a large container, where it is then piped into the lab for processing.

Any info on the 'official' recipe of the nasal spray -- like how much powered (or pre-mixed) HCG is mixed with either saline or bacteriostatic water -- would be appreciated!

Also, what brand of HCG is used in the mixing?

How many spritzes does it take per day, and how often?

Do you have the eating restrictions -- can't eat before or after using the spray -- like the sublingual treatment uses?

I am completely intrigued with the nasal spray version! Googled it, and it appears to be closer to absorption that happens with injections, without using needles! That would be awesome. Is that what you have found to be true?

I would love to NOT have to buy from any pharmacy overseas, and have my pharmacist 'mix it up' like yours does. AND I'm in the Midwest, so knowing how this all came together for you would be fantastic!

Essentially, I would be happy to find a supportive, knowledgeable physician in my insurance network that would not cost me a lot to go to! Currently, the doctor who mentioned HCG is not in my network, and it costs a lot of money even just for a consultation. I'm hoping your physician might be in my network. If I stay with my current doc, having them monitor my progress under their care will cost me an arm and a leg!

I am about to head to work but the HCG I get is from Mark Drugs in Roselle Ill. They ship to you! I know they mix the compound with bacteriostatic water so I do know that.

My doc friend is doing the prescribing for HCG. I do pay a little more that way but I feel like its been worth it so far.

Hope this helps! I do know of a few people who have gotten their insurance to pay for it!
