Default Only 15 lbs to lose
I was wondering if people had experience with the diet when they only have 15 lbs to lose. Does the hcg still work for them? I heard it can be harder and fat does not burn as fast if you don't have a lot of weight to lose. I'm still super hungry but only on day 2 of the vlcd...is this normal for people to feel this hungry still?

THanks

Hi there! I am also targeting to loose only 15 lbs! I am also on day 2 of VLCD. I have totally failed day one and ended up having more proteins and apples right before going to bed. I felt so hungry that I coudn't control myself. I didi overeat only on healthy foods though, so I have counted it as day 3 of gorging (it's acceptable) and now counting day 1 as VLCD today.
I am doing a little better today, but it's still 3pm. I find it very helpful to sip on Kellogs KO2 Fiber/prtein water mix (sold in Walmart). Try and see if this helps you a little..

Let's keep in touch!

I read something really helpful on here that puts into perspective how much you can expect to lose - in a short 21 day protocol expect to lose 5% to 8% of your body weight. My goal was a little over 15 lbs. and I was hopeful that I would lose that in the short round because most people I saw here lost at least that. But most people have more to lose, or they do longer rounds. I lost about 12, which is phenonemal for me in just 3 weeks. Yes it worked, I followed protocol very closely and had no cheats, and now I'm stabilizing nicely (so far).

As for hunger issues, I had bad hunger for a couple of days. I used the Hhcg, and I dropped the amount of drops but did them 5 times a day instead of 3, and it worked great!

I considered making the round longer, maybe a week, but I just felt like my body NEEDED more. I felt it was time to eat a normal number of calories! I wasn't hungry but I felt like I was running on empty. I feel great now that I've added some.

So if you're smaller, don't expect the bigger numbers, but expect to do great for your size!

Same here..15 for me as well. It does seem a bit harder the less you need to loose. I had gotten down to only 5 more lbs before target weight of 125 but once I got to 129 it was like oommmg super hard to get all the way down. The last 5 is so hard. Although I totally failed after p4 and gained all of my weight back so i'm back to square one. I was about to start my round today when i found out the post office lost my package of hcg!! So i'm completely stuck now and have to figure out a way to re order. uggghhh.

The first week of my last round i still lost 8lbs so expect to loose the majority of the 15 the first week or 2 then it'll slow up a bit. But i still think its the BEST diet for 20 lbs or so since its soo hard to get it off.

Thanks guys! Andrea- is it not normal to be hungry the first couple days? I hope I don't have to work with dosage. Have any of you tried going to 700 calories and it still working? I was told if your going to need a lil more to cheat on protein, or have an extra apple?

if you're hungry your dose is off. So many people suggest lowering the dose but i say start from the top and work your way down. After months of being startving and not understanding why I decided to up it by quite a bit and realized it was because it was too low that i was hungry.

I wouldn't go over the 500 cals. If you feel weak and sluggish you can try to eat a bit more protein(such as a full chicken breast, i never weigh mine) but I wouldn't eat an extra apple

I am 5'0" and started at 121. I am now at 111 and have been on the drops for 17 days. Against the advice of others, I have decided to end P2 after the 17 days because the last few days, my weight loss has been crawling, I have been incredibly hungry and ready to move on to the next round. I don't think I need my hypotholamus reset...I just wanted to get the weight off fast so I would have motivation. You can definitely lose 15 pounds, but the closer you get to a goal weight, the harder it is.

Hi guys,

I am on round 1, day 7 of the vlcd. I have only lost 6.2 lbs (8.2 lbs if you include the 2 I gained during my gorge days). My goal is to lose 15. Days 5 and 6 I had no weight change. I thought maybe it was becuz I ate something that might have caused a stall (eg miracle noodles and Vietnamese chili sauce). Yesterday I removed those two items and managed to lose a measly .2 lbs. I'm a bit discouraged becuz all my friends lost at least 10lbs during the first week. I dunno if my slow rate is because I have less to lose or if it's related to making mistakes while eating (I've been trying to be very careful).I really hope things will speed up a little cuz this turtle's pace is killing me!

I am on VLCD 4 and I have only lost 2.8 lbs, and I have about 30 lbs to lose. so I dont think it has anything to do with the size you are starting off at..I have stayed faithful since I started, everyone's metabolism works differently. You sound like you have hits your stall point, which doesnt mean your not losing weight..maybe losing inches..dont get discouraged because this diet does work..good luck

hi guys,

not sure if it's cuz i cut out the miracle noodles and vietnamese hot sauce or if it's cuz i drank enough water to fuel a camel for a week yesterday but i lost 2.2 lbs when i checked my weight this morning! i am really thrilled. when i hit my first target of 10 lbs, i may experiment again and bring back the miracle noodles and hot sauce (separately) to see if it will cause a stall again. it's hard for me to believe that these food items which have zero calories and zero starch can cause such an annoying problem.
anyway...good luck to the rest of you and thanks for letting me whine.
