Bay leaves
These woodsy-tasting green leaves are being studied as a potential treatment for Type II (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes. In Type II diabetes, the body doesn't produce enough of or becomes resistant to the hormone insulin, which it needs to help convert food into energy. But bay leaves can actually help regulate insulin levels. The essential oil of the bay leaf is a constituent of perfumes, and can be used as a massage oil to relieve muscular soreness and enhance circulation, and is also used in tonic formulations to combat hair loss. You can use the herb as a flavor enhancer in soups, stews, and marinades. Just remember to remove it from a dish before serving: The leaf is so sharp and stiff that it can damage the throat or digestive tract if swallowed. Paprika Paprika can boost your pound burning power by accelerating you metabolism while curbing your appetite. The spice is available in a range of “temperatures,” from mild to hot. It also tends to give foods a reddish hue. Use paprika to liven up broiled fish, chicken, and roasted or mashed potatoes. As an antibacterial agent and stimulant, paprika can help normalize blood pressure, improve circulation, and increase the production of saliva and stomach acids to aid digestion. Paprika is unusually high in vitamin C. It is said that paprika contains as much as nine times as much vitamin C as one tomato does in weight. Starring Mustard Mustard is member of the brassica cruciferae family, which includes broccoli, brussels sprouts, turnips, cabbage and watercress. Used as a vegetable, condiment, spice and, at one time, medicine (dried-mustard plaster mixtures were used to alleviate chest congestion). Ginkgo Biloba Has become very popular as of late due to its remarkable ability to improve circulation, especially poor circulation to the brain (a cause of memory loss). Seeds are used in Chinese medicine to relieve wheezing and reduce phlegm; also given to treat a weak bladder and incontinence. The leaves are traditionally used to treat asthma. Can reduce the possibility of stroke. One of the most useful herbs for senile dementia. A possible treatment for auto-immune problems, multiple sclerosis, and complications of organ transplants. Ginkgo is widely used in Europe for treating dementia. It improves blood flow in the brain and contains flavonoids (plant substances) that act as antioxidants. Although many of the clinical trials have been scientifically flawed, the evidence that ginkgo may improve thinking, learning, and memory in people with AD has been highly promising. Clinical studies indicate that gingko provides the following benefits for people with AD:

I have heard many good things about gingko biloba. I actually tried their supplements before and it was good during the first couple of hours, but after a week or two, it gave me a terrible migraine and excessive blood flow during my monthly period. However I did not experience any PMS while I was taking the supplement which is supposedly a good thing, but I had to stop it because of the migraine that it was causing me. It was too much to bear. My brother though noticed an improvement in memory and learning. I also heard from a friend that her mom was experiencing the same symptoms that I was going through. I am not sure if it's only affecting the women, I don't know but my brother really likes it and he is still taking it till now

I have heard about the health benefits of gingko biloba indeed and it has been used in many supplements for anti-aging because of its anti-oxidant properties. I didn't know though that paprika can increase our metabolism and it's also rich in vitamin c. That is unbelievably great! I'll share this to my friends. Thanks

I love mustard. I normally use it as flavoring to my baked chicken breast because I avoid salts as it makes the body bloat. I also use a little pepper sometimes, but not that much. Regarding gingko biloba, I have not heard of that yet but it's good to know that it can improve our memory but it's weird that women don't seem to respond to it pretty well.
