I agree with that everything is about calorie intake. Daily calorie intake is calculated based on age, sex, height, weight (which is not controllable) but you can control your activity level. If you're sendentary, your daily calorie intake is low but if you're very active, you'll need more calories as well. If you want to eat more, then you just need to move more to increase your calorie limit per day.

There are two types of carb, bad carbs (from processed foods) and good carbs (whole grains and vegetables). Bad carbs contributes to diabetes, heart problems and cancer. Good carbs helps you los weight. However, just like what myth #4 carbohydrates makes you fat. I believe that is true. Even if you eat too much good carb and not doing much exercise to burn them off, your energy will be stored as fat.

Good point viktoria. Carbohydrates gives us energy and if left unused, it could lead to weight gain. Eating should be balanced with exercise.

Default The Top 10 Diet Myths Exposed!
Myth #3: Eat three times a day — don't snack

Fact: Eat when you want to maintain calorie intake
Once again, it’s all about calories. You can eat
three times a day or six times a day, as long as
you have the same caloric intake. However, you should
have at least three meals a day. That structures your
daily eating, so don’t become too hungry. And if you
eat six times a day, you won’t be having six full meals.

Myth #4: Carbohydrates make you fat

Fact: Carbs are necessary for a balanced diet
Carbohydrates do not make you fat. Calories make you
fat. Often it’s the sugar and fat contained in carbohydrates
that make you fat. Also a lot of carbohydrates are processed,
so you don’t get the advantage of feeling full from fiber
found in unprocessed carbs. For example, whole grain pasta
is more filling — and makes you feel satisfied longer — than
white pasta, though both have the same amount of calories.
What will change the number of calories is the amount of sauce
and butter you put on your pasta. What you want to do is eat
carbs in moderation.

Need A Little Help?
Of course, we all do! but there are a ton of diet products on
the market, how do you choose? First, do your research or better
yet, choose from the best products on the market that have already
been researched and tested by an independent source.

that we highly recommend:

If they rank the diet as good, you can rest assured
that it is the best available.

Thanks for the very informative post diemaz. I like reading them. You are totally right about eating meals that we should have at least three so we don't get too hungry. I am observing a 5 meal diet but I don't eat full meals. My body cannot take that . I only consume less than half of a meal every time I eat. By doing this I avoid getting too hungry and I also don't crave for more food

Yeah this post clears all the diet myths. I am not really avoiding carbo, but I just make sure that I eat good carbo like wheat bread and whole grain pasta. I do count my calorie intake and I make sure to not go beyond my limit. It manages to keep me fit, although I should day that the temptation is not that easy to ignore lol.
