Default Holiday Challenge Week 9
I went back and checked the holiday challenge. Sorry I dropped the "recording ball" after I came home sick. I really intended to update the list and keep the records. I just couldn't. So... here is where we're at:

Today is week 9 weigh in. We made the holiday challenge 10 weeks... so it will end next Wed (on the 7th). Does everyone WANT to take this one more week, or... would you like to start the MONTHLY challenges today instead? Those will run the length of each month. We can close out the holiday challenge today and start January tomorrow, OR we can finish up the holiday challenge next week... and have a short Jan challenge.

Let me know how you guys (who are still doing this challenge) feel... be honest... it makes NO difference to me. If you don't respond, I'll assume either way is ok with you and go with the majority of those who do respond.

I'm going to cheat a bit today and use yesterdays weigh in. I went out drinking with friends last night and with a few munchies I had and the alcohol, I'm up 5 lbs this morning which just isn't realistic.

So yesterday, I was 293.8 lbs. I got below my goal of 295 when we started this back then so I'm delighted. Friends are starting to notice the difference, especially in my face. Hopefully by next Wednesday I'll have this water off again and be into the 280's again for the first time in a couple of years but we shall see.

I'm keen to start January afresh on a monthly challenge. I personally do better on short term challenges.

However, if this one is still going I'm 198.1 today! A sorry Xmas gain of 3.1lbs.

I may not be back until the week of the 12th since I may have house guests for a while. If you start next week, I will just have to start late. Can't wait to get back to the normal routine.

How about this... how about we do BOTH. We'll start the January challenge tomorrow, using today's weigh-in. BUT, I'll also track the weigh-in next week for the holiday challenge and announce the participants who met their goal. That way, we can do BOTH!

I'm in for both. My weigh in is 198.5 - I keep floundering and ending up back there.

My goal weight for January is...um...okay...how about...195 (yikes - I said that out loud sorta).

I went visiting friends and family starting on Christmas eve, and was remiss in checking in! As of yesterday, I am at 140, which is a gain of 1.5# for the holiday season. I'm not too upset about that, but I'm ready to get back on the wagon and join the January challenge!

So....

Goal: -10 (that might be a bit ambitious for one month but I'll try it!)
