Default want to switch to vegetarian diet...
Hi everyone

I always thought of having vegetarian cus it's supposedly healthier and vegeratian people live longer lives and have less diseases. The only thing that's keeping me from switching to a vegetarian diet is because i have the fear that I will not get enough nutrition by not planning my diet well. Just wondering what your opinion is on vegetarian diet, and whether there are good resources on how to plan a healthy nutritious vegetarian diet?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi!
My opinion about vegeterian is not so optimistic because by cutting meat and fish you cut a lot of vitamins and elements your body needs for normal operation.

And it's quite hard to create a balanced diet for you. Especially when it comes to find a good protein source (meat is a good one)
You can get protein by eating beans and nuts but that's not an ideal replacement.

Be ready that you won't have enough energy at the start and will feel weak a bit.
You can try it.
To be or not to be - you'll decide it after a "being a vegetarian" demo. good luck!

I agree with jenny.moore. Vegetarian diet is healthy, that's true but you also need nutrients from animal meat. It will be hard to adjust to a vegetarian diet especially if your previous diet includes meat. You can give it a try and see if it works for you.

That's right. You might miss eating meats although vegetarian diet has might have alternatives for it. If it doesn't work, you can just create your very own diet, the one that will work best for you.
