Default Nutrition question- what can I eat?
I am looking for meal ideas. I have a list of foods I need to avoid and I'm getting bored of the foods on my "allow" list. Can anyone help? My main problem is that my allowed foods amount to a lot of snacks (celery w/ peanut butter, hard-boiled eggs, string cheese mozzarella, salad, beans, etc.). I am finding it hard to make meals out of this other than chicken breasts and green beans and the alternate seafood and salad. Pretty boring on the long term. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm posting my food list (as per my doctor) below.

ALLOW
cheese
nuts
eggs
vegetables
seafood
lean meats
some fruits that are low in sugar

DISALLOW
wheat
corn
rice
sugar
potatoes

Your recommended diet looks very similar to a low carb or diabetic diet. You should google low carb recipes or diabetic recipes and I think you'll find some interesting stuff. Here's one I just found.........

Some ideas you may also want to try.......
- Stir fry using chicken, seafood or lean beef
- Omelets with veggies & cheese
- Cauliflower can be made into something similar to mashed potatoes. Here's a recipe:
