Default Visit from the whoosie fairy and her sister.
So as you know I have been on here griping that the scale has not moved or gone up for some reason or another. Well today I went to my Dr's appointment and got on the scale two weeks exactly from the last time I got on the scale and to my surprise( Checked it twice) lol... I lost 16 more pounds. Not sure why it diddled and daddled in there and took a nap but today it showed me that " Hey this way of eating works" hee hee.
I have lost 36 pounds in just under six weeks. I am just as happy as can be. I love that whooshie fairy and the sister that came along with it.
Thanks for all the support. Keep it coming. And for those seeing a stall at the moment.. give it a few weeks. At least this is what I have learned. And water water and more water.

Remember this if you hit another "stall"... wt loss is often specific to the person. You may find that this will become your pattern. If you know your pattern, it's much easier to make it through the slow times.

Congrats on you great results! It's very inspiring.

Wow, indeed you have had the Whoosh Fairy visit! Before pre-maintenance, I used to track the number of days it took me to lose a pound. Sometimes it was one day, then 2 days, then 26 days!

But I had a pattern of down...the rest was "noise".

Congratulations... you are doing TERRIFIC! Now you know to NEVER get discouraged.

The body does ... what the body does!

My best to you!

Thanks for all the support.I am still floating on air, and I believe you are right now I know not to get on a scale but every two weeks and see how that goes. Knowing I was losing made me work just that much harder at the gym today. Mom and I are going out for Lobster when we hit a certain point in our journey. Wish I could take you all with us.

Snicks,
I know we've pretty much decided at which point in our journey we're going out for lobster....BUT...did we decide just WHO'S paying? Maybe if your little bro gets a full time job in the meanwhile we can "suggest" HE pay.....yeh, I know, fat chance....so let's go dutch....??...OR first one to fifty pounds down pays???(seeings as you're closer to that mark right now than I am) just a thought....lol

Oh your not paying mom?lol YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH rightt, like Jon would ever pay for anything. I am still laughing at that one. Maybe we can start setting aside some money on both our parts each month and eventually we could afford it. I don't suppose Sizzler has a layaway plan.lmao!!!

You guys need to come to Maine and get your lobsters!! I bought 7 of 'em for xmas eve dinner and paid about $65. It's usually cheaper than that... the price goes up on holidays. Kinda like roses on valentine's day... they double in price.

Whoever pays for it, you'll have both earned it!

Oh, Tril...I LOVE lobster! That, to me, is the ONLY thing living in Maine has an advantage over San Diego (or Richmond, VA where I now live!) It is SO COLD in the winter!! Brrrr....

We decided that 35+ loss was good enough for our lobster "treat"...so we went out Sunday, after church, to our local Steak and Seafood place and indulged...

Sorry to say...I, for one, was not overly impressed....it didn't taste as good as it'd been rumored to taste...but then I've been spoiled by our local fresh crab...All in all, the meal was a treat well earned...and my rare steak was tender and tasty...the salad bar was well stocked..so the outing ended up being the prize it was intended to be..

Think the next "reward" is going to be something non-edible though.....

THANKS.....pretty sure it won't be a shopping trip...neither of us is really into shopping...especially for clothes...I, for one, plan on using up all of the NOT fat clothes that are in the back of my closet before forcing myself to shop for new stuff...

I'm thinking more along the lines of a trip up the coast to our favorite near-the-beach motel...A "Girls Only" trip...which will also include the nine AND A HALF (her emphesis, not mine) granddaughter...now there's one who loves to shop...lol...The motel has a heated pool, spa, and hot tub..
and a Walmart nearby...Fresh seafood restaurants....long walks on the beach.....ahhhhhhhhhhh yeh, my idea of the perfect non-edible reward.....

Someone asked me ( not remembering where) if the crab was a Dungeness.....The answer is yes....they catch them here locally...My one son, who lives in San Jose, takes a couple of coolers full of them back home with him every year when he comes up for our family Christmas party...he says they're cheaper and a lot more tasty than the ones he could pick up in the Bay Area..

Tracy...yep, Snicks is my daughter.....we live only two miles apart....and she' s my cheerleader and vice-versa...SO much easier, this time around, for me, now that I have her doing this WOE with me...

OK...Time to start socking away those nickels and dimes daughter...
Crescent City...here we come...say in another 15 pounds? or should we round it up (no pun intended) to an even 20?

Would love to hear some more non-edible reward ideas....

I would have to agree mom, that lobster( what little they gave us) was just not the taste I had set my mouth for,but the surprise was nice and it was relaxing and the company was great...uhm had we left PUNK at home.lol I have a brother whom I love but who is less then supportive of the both of us with Atkins and has oppinions of it even though he has never read up on it, but then again he has oppinions on everything.lol Oh you have to love the 22 year old boy-men that live to tell you that they know all and you know nothing. This of course is not a man beating board because I know not all men are like that and indeed there're men that deal with this struggle as well. Anyway.. thanks mom it was worth it. Hmm on the idea for the next get away, well.... How about we wait until April and go see the brother I love. lmaoo!!! It will be Gotcha day and perhaps I can go halfies on the trip. As for long reward ladies I have decided I don't care what the scale says after I sell my home I will venture into marking off one of my do before I die someday list and go one that cruise that I have always wanted to go on. I can take sassy to Disneyland in Florida, meet my pen pal I have written for over 9 years that also is an adoptive mother too of two beautiful girls from China and take the ship from Florida. Anyone on here from Florida? It might be a big idea, but I don't think it will skim that much off the top before I buy our new home, or at least hope to buy my new home. What do you think?
