OK,

Veggies, 1 - spinach, crookneck squash, big salad
Exercise, 1.5!! 1-1/2 miles tonite and plan to use weights a little
Water, 1.0 - right on the money here
Wine, 0 http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

I know I will drink more than one glass...it's Saturday night!

3.5 on my perfectly biased, arbitrary scale is better than before.

As the last day of August is here I thought it was time to look back and see just how well I did by going back to basics!

What I discovered was - was that it worked! 8 pounds this month! That is a healthy 2 pounds a week (on average) so I think that following the basics is definitely the way to go for me!!

tipokotap 09-01-2009 01:46 AM

OK, on August 1st I weighed 134.2. Today I weighed 132.2, so I lost 2 pounds! My expectation at this stage, so close to my goal, is 1/2 pound per week, and I did it!

I walked 27 miles this month, so that is "almost" a mile a day. When it was 100 in the shade and the mosquitos were eating me alive, I declined. http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...on_biggrin.gif

I was good on water, most days. I cut out wine completely Monday thru Thursday but treated myself on weekends, so I get a little credit for that.

All in all, pretty successful. Not as dedicated as Olive Oil, but for my snail's pace, not too bad!

Anyone else willing to fess up?

Toni

hey guys ...of course on my last post I meant to say 185 ahah...no change for me this week.

tipokotap 11-09-2009 02:15 AM

Well, Saturday and Sunday were good exercise days...not so much yesterday and today! It's 100 degrees with high humidity! I can't wait for fall to come.

Have to work on the water and wine. Carbs in check. Need more fiber (flax cracker baking tomorrow night, for sure.) Vitamins a daily...no problem there. Lab work from Friday coming back soon...hope for the very best on that blood profile!

Anyone else out there?

Toni

I'm here... getting the water, walking most days (getting up at 5:50 to walk tomorrow morning), eating well (veggies, good protein, no processed stuff) but struggling a bit with cravings... not sure if they're hormone or boredom related. I also need to reduce the wine. After last weekend, it's NOT a problem. LOL

oop s- just found this one! (was avoiding "challenges", as i had a baad month in july http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...icon_smile.gif)

anyways, i'm in for this one for sure! so i'm going to the gym , and making sure i get my water and veggies etc - don't know that i'll be able to post a daily checklist, but i'll be with you all in spirit every day! anyway, today (it's 8am) i'm off to a good start with eggs, green onion (instead of white - i'm going off white http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...icon_smile.gif, avocado, and only 1 cup of joe instead of 2 (i'm saving the cream for a cup later!) - also had some water, and will have lots more with my morning supplements (fish oil, lecithin, multis, coQ10 - in the evening i take calcium/magnesium) -

so far, so good!
