Hi All,
Well, here's a lesson to be learned! NEVER try going from drinking 4 litres of Pepsi Max (caffeine containing diet soda) a day to drinking 10 pints of chilled water! Although it was the right thing to do I think I should have done it very gradually! Basically what happened was, by the end of the night I had a splitting headache and I felt terrible! Probably ALL down to the caffeine withdrawal. I went for my usual 4 mile run and felt as if I couldn't lift my feet off the ground. I was so screwed up I fell asleep in front of the telly, on the sofa at 11pm, something I never do, but my head was so, so sore. I awoke at 3 in the morning and staggered to the cupboard and ate 12 Oreos ( I think I was still half asleep!) and guzzled a litre of Coke. Now, normally my will power is exceptional but I was so ill I guess that my body was craving something. It was as if I was sleep walking! I woke up this morning surrounded by empty oreo wrappers and an empty soda bottle, feeling a lot better! I am going to write off the last 3 weeks and start induction again and this time do it properly! I have learned a very important lesson from this and I hope that this info may help someone else.
