You want to lose 103# in SIX MONTHS??? That's not very reasonable... that's an average of 4#, EVERY week. At 2# a week (and that's a good loss when you're well into your weight loss effort) you're talking 51.5 weeks to lose 103#. A year is far more reasonable goal to lose over a hundred pounds since there will be weeks when you don't lose anything at all.

I just worry that you're setting yourself up for disappointment... that could lead to discouragement... that could lead to quitting. You're just one week into this and you're already worried about your rate of loss and looking for what might be slowing you down. Not a good sign for long term weight loss.

Stuff to think about...

Do I need maintain myself in phase 1 (induction) for 1 year?

Technically... no. It's not on the Induction foods list. You can, however, make the choice to include it in your diet... at your own risk, of course. Count the carbs as part of your extra carbs, you still need to eat 12 to 15 net grams from vegetables. So any soy milk carbs would replace carbs you could have from the 5 to 7 grams you get for cheese, cream, Splenda, ect.

4 pounds in a week isn't slow. Do you have realistic expectations for your weight loss plan?

I need to reduce 103 pounds (47 kg), since my weight is 323 pounds (147 kg). I'm 1.90m tall.

My expectation was to reduce this in 6 months. 4 pounds a week it's ok to this, but the weight dont fall linearly, then my expectation is to reduce 16 kg (35 pounds) in the first month.

tks
