Five people at work and I joined a gym today in the hopes of getting motivated and fit! I've never actually been a member of a gym before and I'm well excited! I bought trainers and stretchy pants that make my bum look very nice indeed and I bought a backpack like a school child would wear. I'm ready to get pumped!
So gym folk...what are some things I should be aware of when at the gym? What are your best tips? Is there anything I should avoid? |

Avoid the smelly people!
Actually you did one of the best things you could have done when joining, you joined with a friend. Most people stay motivated when they have a partner or group that depends upon them to be at the gym with them. Also, take note of any classes you gym may offer. I know mine has _many_ free classes that always get filled up. And _never_ forget to ask questions of the staff, if you don't know how to use something, usually a gym will have someone there to help you. |
