Default I Joined a Gym
Five people at work and I joined a gym today in the hopes of getting motivated and fit! I've never actually been a member of a gym before and I'm well excited! I bought trainers and stretchy pants that make my bum look very nice indeed and I bought a backpack like a school child would wear. I'm ready to get pumped!

So gym folk...what are some things I should be aware of when at the gym? What are your best tips? Is there anything I should avoid?

Avoid the smelly people!

Actually you did one of the best things you could have done when joining, you joined with a friend. Most people stay motivated when they have a partner or group that depends upon them to be at the gym with them. Also, take note of any classes you gym may offer. I know mine has _many_ free classes that always get filled up. And _never_ forget to ask questions of the staff, if you don't know how to use something, usually a gym will have someone there to help you.

bring alcohol wipes so you can wipe down the equipment from the last sweaty ass that sat there...i find the bottles and towels they provide aren't enough and are changed enough.
