Let's see... in Jan of '07 I was 118. Same in April. I think I started gaining about then. By May of '08 I'd hit 146. That's when I said enough and decided to go low carb with Atkins. I'd been South Beaching since November of '04 before that. I started then at 189 and got down to 118. So I still have a closet full of things that fit me at 118-120. I was at that weight for awhile.

Default for those who use fitday...
Mine is closer to 10%.

Remember, the % will change based on the total calories. If I eat more calories than you do, but have the same # of carbs, my % will be lower than yours. So it's tough to compare apples to apples unless we eat the same number of calories.

You stated your % of carbs. is close to 10%.
I thought you were farther along on the Akin's
program, unless your keeping the carbs low for
some other reason. Take care, gyroflex.

Gyro... you're right, it is low. I eat more carbs now than on Induction (more veggie carbs, nuts, cottage cheese, nut butters, etc)... probably in the 35 to 40 grams per day range. That's still pretty low. My body just can't handle a lot of carbs... and I'll never eat grains no matter what my weight might be. I don't feel good when I eat them. Eating this way is maintaining my weight pretty much. If I were to keep adding carbs, I'd have to reduce my protein/fats even more and I'm about as low as I'm comfortable going there. At 5'4" and 127# (with bird bones) 1500 - 1700 cal a day maintains my weight. When I exercise, I can chip off 1 to 2 pounds a month. Unfortunately, for me... that's not the level of carbs/food that most people get to eat at this point. But the smaller you are, the less you need so the less you get to eat. I'm in Pre-Maintenance and would like to lose another 7 - 9# this year.

Yeah... I'd like to get back down to where I was, where my clothes ALL fit me again. That's 118 - 120. It will take awhile. In the meantime, I'm okay where I'm at now. I did NOT like getting over 140... and I did NOT like the upper 130's. I'm getting more comfortable now at 127. Remember, I'm only 5'4"... with a super small bone stucture.
