Default The rice problem ... need some advice
Hi,

I am a new member from India. Here we have the bad habit of eating rice and I am sure that's going to be a problem in a low-carb diet. My question is: how much rice is too much? How much is okay? I do not know in terms of grams and all that, but would half a plate (for the whole day) be too much for a low-carb diet?

Also, are green veggies okay? I am assuming only potatoes and the like are to be avoided. How about fruits? I am a little confused about all this. I am not fat but have a little flab around my waist and it is so hard to lose it. :x

Nice to be here.

Mr. Rice

For fried rice - try substituting grated cauliflower for the rice - it works really well and once you've been on the diet for awhile you won't even notice the differece.
