I know how frustrating it is to not have a smooth Phase 3 stabilization and how depressing it is to go to the scale every morning and see it slowly or hastily creeping up. It happened to me the first round. So, I’m posting every single thing that has helped me stabilize under my LDW this round.
1) Drinking a minimum of 2.5 liters of water. 2) Drinking green tea. 3) Having digestive enzymes with every meal. 4) Having milk digestive enzymes when eating dairy. I used to gain with cheese but this helped a lot. 5) Having probiotics. 6) Chewing my food thoroughly and slowly. 7) Sleeping 8 hours. 8) Having some protein for dinner. 9) Having dinner around seven. 10) Eating a snack every 2 or 3 hours. 11) Eating a small piece of dark (85% cacao) chocolate. 12) Drinking coffee 13) Walking at least 15 minutes a day. 14) Being relaxed. I’ve noticed that when I get stressed I tend to gain some weight, and gaining weight stresses me more so I gain more weight. 15) Drinking a glass of red wine. (I haven’t personally tried this, but my mother is in P3 too and she says it helps her. At least I can say that it doesn’t make her gain). 16) I’ve found that eating a small amount of walnuts will help me. (this is not for everyone, some people are really sensitive to nuts) 17) Having small correction days if I see a small gain, before I gain enough to have to do a steak day. I’ve tried High protein days and egg days and I’ve lost and average of 1.5 pounds each time. For those who don’ know: EGG DAY: it is a day where you can eat from 8 to 12 eggs. They can be boiled, scrambled or whichever way it is preferred. A bit of cheese and mayo is allowed. You can use oil or butter to cook them. HIGH PROTEIN DAY: It is a day where you can eat all the protein you want (eggs, fish, steak, chicken…) and no fruit and no (or very small amounts) of veggies. I’ve heard of a NUT DAY. But I haven’t tried it. It sounds scary; I don’t trust nuts too much during P3. 18) WOBENZYM: I don’t know why or how it works but since I started a treatment with wobenzym for my acne (15 enzymes a day) I have tended to be under my LDW and stabilize faster. I don’t gain weight as easily. 19) I take omega 3, vitamin e, and potassium supplements. The potassium regulates the water balance. When I eat too much salt or something that is high in sodium like feta cheese the potassium helps me to not retain water. 20) FOOD THAT CAUSES ME GAIN: ham, too much milk and blue cheese (not sure). 21) FOOD THAT I CAN EAT, NO GAIN: walnuts, dark chocolate (lindt 85%), feta cheese, parmesan cheese. 22) Have a positive attitude. Remember, stressing about weight gain only brings more weight gain and sometimes you even cheat out of frustration. I like to read a motivational quote or phrase every day. It helps me. I don’t know if this will help everyone because we are all different but I can tell you that it has helped me and my mother A LOT. I wish someone had told me this tips when I did my first round. It would have saved me a lot of trouble and stress; that’s why I’m posting my experience with P3. I hope it helps you. Cerigo |

oncemore:
The dairy enzyme is "Milk Digestant" and it has lactase. And the digestive enzymes are called "Super Digestive enzymes" ( Promotes Protein, Carbohydrate and Fat Digestion) I bought both in GNC. they helped me a lot with the bloating and water retention and I'm lactose intolerant but with the Milk Digestant I can eat any kind of cheese. x] |

Probiotics are healthy bacteria that improve intestinal microbial balance, they inhibit pathogens and toxin producing bacteria. their health benefits are: managing lactose intolerance, prevention of colon cancer, lowering cholesterol, improve mineral absorption, reducing inflamation, Improving immune function and preventing infections...etc.
you can naturally find then in yogurt, but I take a suplement (lactobacilus). I don't remember where I bought it i'll post it later. the wobenzym can be found in Sam's club and Costco... any pharmacy I think. |

Oncemore:
Some tips that help me to increase the weight loss with a protein day are: Do not use too much salt. Do not eat too much cheese. (I still lose when I eat cheese but I lose about .5 lbs more when I don’t. And if you want cheese it's best to eat it earlier in the day) And try to not have a very big dinner. I space out the protein throughout the afternoon instead of having all that protein in one meal. It’s best id the dinner is a 100% protein. No cheese or any kind of veggies. These are some of my High Protein Day food ideas: Breakfast: Mediterranian eggs: 2 scrambled eggs with a bit of shredded zucchini and a bit of feta cheese and fresh basil. Snack: Boiled eggs or tuna with a bit of mayo. Lunch: Steak, tuna, chicken... etc. (sometimes I make some "Bolognese Sauce": ground beef with a bit of homemade tomato sauce and red wine) Dinner: Steak, tuna, chicken, eggs... etc. |

ok so this is what I had for breakfast: 3 eggs, dash of cream, 3 nsa sausages cut up and 1 slice of provolone cheese all to make an omelette and 2 cups of coffee with cream & truvia. (stuffed!)
L idea: broiled steak pieces with tomato & avocado D: large chicken breast (and nothing with it?) No more cheese, I dont add salt to anything anyway, not a fan of boiled eggs (ick) so is this menu good? Or should I do a big beef burger and an apple for dinner, kinda like a steak day? |

Yes, the menu is good. you can do the beef burger if you want to but I wouldn't eat the apple. In a protein day is best if you don't eat any kind of fruit and practically no veggies.
I ate half an apple once and I didn't lose as much weight as I usually do. hmm... I think I read somewhere that someone gained with the sausages... I don't know why. I usually don't eat them, but if you have no problem with them they are fine. and for dinner: I would have nothing with it. It helps me with the weight loss but you can have a small green salad if you really want to. |

x] you're welcome oncemore.
mmm I think I'll look for the sausages too. I didn't know why they made people gain but now that I know I'll look for the sugar free sausages. Right now I'm living in Mexico. Well, good luck with your protein day! I'm doing one today too. I'll post my menu and results tomorrow. |

That's great oncemore. I lost 1.3 lbs.
my menu (yesterday) was: 3 scrambled eggs in the morning Lunch: some pork cracklings roasted chicken a bit of steak. dinner: 2 boiled eggs. I like being a bit under my LDW so I'm doing another protein day today too. yes, you can make several protein days in a row and they do work. I once saw in a blog, a woman cheated in p3 a LOT and gained like 10 lbs. She still had one week and a half to lose it so she did 3 protein days and one stake day... repeating it until she was back to her LDW. x] we can be protein day buddies. I'll post my results again tomorrow. |

wow nice job on the 1.3! What in the world are pork cracklings? I would like to be a little under my ldw as well, so if I can lose another pound I will be .4 below. It just feels like you have some breathing room to further experiment with new foods. Nuts are not my friend *sigh* I love nuts and would like to try again maybe not with almond flour (up.6) or pistachios (up 2!) but maybe macadamia nuts. I never thought I would say this, but I miss my veggies and fruit while on high protein days! Good to know I can do as many as needed in a row. Would rather do those than starve all day and then stuff in a steak and apple!
