Hey New To The Atkins Lifestyle

Hey everyone, I'm new to the Atkins Lifestyle. I wanted to make a change for the better since pretty much everything went down hill last year. I'm starting from scratch and since I lost my girlfriend of five years, which I think because I gained 60 pounds over the years and people started to treat me differently then before. I never been skinny but I never been this big. So any words of encouragement would be great, cause I am sure to give it back. I'll be sure to keep yall updated on my progress.
I start my new lifestyle
02-04-10 at a weight of 268
my goal is 185
so here I go

Hey - good luck. You will love this way of eating and you WILL lose. I am only a few days in but have done it before and really recommend it. The first few days may be tough (I've had a headache for 2 days!) but stick at it!

Welcome!! http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...on_biggrin.gif So nice to have you on the forum!

My son is in his early 40's, sort of the same starting weight, 6' ... lost about 80 pounds on Atkins back when, but went back to beer and pizza. Life happened. He's back on it and doing great!

Guys usually show quite gratifying losses, especially at first, and that can be VERY motivating! Sure hope you have great success.

Be sure and read the plan, either in the "stickies" here, the tutorial at the Atkins website, or pick up the Atkins book at a thrift store if you can find it, or online used for a few bucks.

And use your belt to track your progress (but even better, measure those big ole' arms, thighs etc.) and as you buff up and lose (because you will find yourself enjoying exercise), you can see your new physique emerge and write those stats down!!

My best to you...ask questions...pipe right up!!

Toni
