I'm pretty anti-piercings personally, but only because every one I've ever had has been terrible. I got my ears, they were fine..then i got my ear cartilage. It was awful. I had to cup my hand over my ear when I slept to keep from having it touch anything, and it was really, really sore for like...a year! I finally just took it out because it hurt like hell all the time. I also had my labret pierced. That is the LAST piercing I will ever get. I'm not sure why I put myself through that. I have a horrible scar and my gumline is ruined from the barbell I had rubbing on it. Mine got infected a LOT...oooh it was sooo painful! NO MORE PIERCINGS!

The Price of Piercing

While body piercing has increased in popularity and social acceptance, long healing time, infections and scarring can plague those who pierce.

Just my ears. Always wanted my navel pierced but didn't figure it would go well with my surgery scars.

I had my ear peirced, but left the thingy out too long.

Don't really care as it used to get caught on my helmet.

Funny, but actually the eye piercing is the most dangerous. If not done right it can hit a vein which can blind you in that eye.

I want one now!

It was in 2003...

Actually... after all the pain the surgery was such a huge relief. And the pain pills were fantastic.
