Default Canderel artfial sweetner (aspartamine) instead of splenda?
Hi,

I had a jar full of canderel (aspartamine artifical sweetner in UK) in the kitchen when i stated induction so decided to use this up before I purchased splenda. What is the reason for not using aspartamine and using the succharin instead?

I made low carb muffins using the canderel (aspartamine) and been having these for breakfast and haven't lost any weight-maybe the canderel is the culprit?

Whats your guy's views?

Thanks

Are you still on induction? I'm pretty sure the muffins are out if you are, regardless.

For some people any artificial sweeteners can inhibit weight loss, but I think the main reason they advise against it is just because aspartame is so dangerous as a chemical. It may have less to do with weight loss and more to do with the fact that, compared to Splenda or even saccharine, aspartame is kind of on that line between "potentially dangerous" to "will burn holes in your brain." If you do some research online you'll find a lot of websites describing how dangerous aspartame is.
