Default need help- new member
Hi everyone. New to this forum, but need some advice.
Im 23 and weigh 9 and half stone. I have been trying to do the atkins since September but cannot shift that much weight. I have been pretty good but have not followed it strictly. I haven’t eaten ay bread cakes etc just the occasional squirt of ketchup on my egg . My diet has not been good in the past as I have been on so many diets throughout my teens and I think it may have affected my metabolism. I do exercise by going to the gym, which over the summer I over did it every day. I haven’t lost weight just become bulkier and heavier.I know this may be muscle but is the best thing for me to do on atkins? Should I cut out some of the exercise and let the atkins burn the fat away. Or different exercises? Im so confused and need help.

Following it strictly is the key to the type of weightloss other Atkins followers experience. If you're not losing much weight, then your body isn't going into ketosis - that is the whole point of the diet. The "occasional" squirt of ketchup can stop your body burning fat for 2 days. It really depends on the other types of food you're eating, and generally what your eating habits are.

The type of exercise/amount of exercise won't affect your weightloss (other than increase it), but I honestly think you need to become more strict with what you're eating.

Good luck, and keep your questions coming
