Hello Karen
Thanks for the answer.
I am always eating salads for the lunch at work (salad leaves, cheese, and cucumber). Meat or fish with small portion of vegetables - in the evening. In the morning some meat or a bit cheese.
Yes, I feel by clothes that it fits better, but for the last week there are no changes in weight at all. It’s frustrating. I am not going to stop the diet, but I would feel better seeing changes with my weight.

I know, it feels good when the scale confirms that what we're doing is working. Sometimes the scale doesn't cooperate though.

Seriously, I would stop weighing myself so often and just commit to the plan regardless of what the scale says. Go by how your clothes fit.

I love it when I go to get a new pair of pants and the size I used to wear doesn't even fit anymore, so I have to get a smaller size! That feels a lot better than seeing a small weight decrease on the scale!

Default Newbie from Norway. Some help, please?!
Hello to everybody. I think I need some help and advice. I am on Atkins from September 1st.
I am 38 years old, I started with 218 pounds. I am training 4-5 times a week, eating max 15-20 carbs a day. No cakes, candies, sweet drinks, etc.
I lost around 6,5 pounds during the first week. Lost nothing during the second and third. During the last week lost some more, so totally around 13 pounds. But for the last several days I am gaining and loosing some weight.
For example, on Thursday suddenly I went up to 4,5 pounds; lost them during 2 days and today in the morning I went again up 1,7 pounds again. I do not understand what do I do wrong. Any suggestions, please?

what you are doing wrong is looking at the scale so often!!

Maybe you are eating a lot of salty foods, maybe your workouts are increasing muscle mass, maybe its your time of month, maybe your body is adjusting to the weight loss, maybe the scale you are using is un-scientific, etc etc etc

Try to look at other measures for weight loss and physical fitness. if you are eating healthy and exercising you are on the right path.

Good luck! 8)

Also, if you could post your menus for a couple of days, we could be more helpful. Be sure to list everything you put in your mouth, including the amounts.

Sometimes people think they're following the plan exactly, but are unaware of some limits, like 2 to 3 Tablespoons of cream and 3 or 4 ounces of cheese.

Also, some scales are very unreliable. It's better to go by how your clothes feel. Do you have more room around the waist? Is it easier to button a shirt that used to be tight?
