Advice - Too busy to eat and not hungry...
Good Morning to you all. I’d like to get some advice or information. Now that I’m back working I’m always busy and on the go. I travel for work so sitting down and having a proper breakfast and lunch is out of the question and usually when I get home from work I have a quick dinner then off to the gym. I’m so busy that I’m not hungry. I just can’t force myself to eat if I’m not hungry. I’m not sure how this will affect Atkins because I probably eat under 1000 calories for sure and definitely fewer than 20 carbs but I make sure when I do have dinner it's veggies. I often may eat a salad or cup of tuna during lunch because I’m just not hungry but I know I need to eat something. I had bulimia and fought it off and on for years and one of the things that I learned in my support group is to eat only when you are hungry to avoid the feeling that you have eaten too much and then purge. I haven’t weighed myself and I won’t until sometime in Oct because I’m going by my clothes and the inches but I have lost ½ inch more in my waist and thighs but I’m not sure if it’s because of the Atkins or not eating enough. Has anyone went through a phase where they were too busy to eat and on the run doing Atkins? Any advice or what happen to you in terms of your weight loss.
My goal weight was 125 or rather my dream weight but I can settle for 130/135, according to my last weight IF the scale was right I was at 152 about 3 weeks ago, which means I'm at about 20 - 25 more weight loss to go.. |
Thanks and I'm preparing meals now for the week.
Going back to work and doing atkins and trying to stay within the carbs is new to me since when I did the diet before I was studying for my masters so it was a bit easier but being on the run and go all the time, travelling everyday, I forgot how busy you can be when you are working and its so tempting to stop at the bakery shops and get a pastry and other fattening and things that aren't good for you. For me it's important eat balanced meals, exercise and eat when I'm hungry and not force feed myself because that's when the binging and purging will come to play and I haven't done that in 4 years and going strong. |
Yeah I agree with what Bluehex said. Smaller regular meals are sometimes easier to stomach. I did exactly what you're doing on induction once and ended up fainting. You need to keep the fuel going in http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...on_biggrin.gif

http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...n_confused.gif I am the same guys, been on the induction again for the 3rd time in 5 years and this seems to be the worst (if you can call it that!) I do not have any appetite at all. Would not going to the loo (sorry) account for that? I have been eating only tuna and salads with the occasional bacon and eggs and my bowels have stopped! I have been drinking water till it comes out of my ears and also take 2 tabs of Psyllium a day but to no avail. Its been a week since i went. Need help!! http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...on_exclaim.gif
