I know on some nutrition labels there is a "sugar alcohols" that can be subtracted from the total carbs but on the fiber one cereal label there is an "other carbohydrates" listed. Can these be subtracted from the total carbohydrates?

What plan are you following, Casey? Atkins? That's the only one I know of that does the "deduct fiber and sugar alcohols" (and this being an Atkins support forum) but cereal and grains aren't part of Atkins... unless you're in the end of pre-maintenance (phase 3) or in maintenance (phase 4). I doubt that's the case, though, if you're asking about what you can deduct.
