Anything edible that has fiber has carbs. It can have more carbs than fiber, but not more fiber than carbs.
So there's never a deficit. If you take in 10 grams worth of psyllium husks, for example, it will also be 10 grams of carbs. So, net carbs are zero. If the nutrition label for a particular product indicates more grams of fiber than carbs, there's a rounding error somewhere. |
