Maybe you are just responding really well to this way of eating and all the exercise is helping.

The first time I did Atkins I lost just over 2 stone in the first four weeks with hardly any exercise.

The more weight you have on the faster it will come off at first.

If you feel good, I wouldn't worry. The weight loss will probably slow down. If i was to guess you have probably lost in week 1 16lb, week 2 8lb, week 3 6lb, week 4 5lb or something like that.

Also, the fact that you say you are slipping up a lot is odd. If you slip up a lot then I'm suprised that you lost so much. Are you using the same scale each time you weigh yourself? Could using different scales be throwing off your numbers?

Wow, that is a lot of weight to lose in one month! Congratulations!

As long as you are eating correctly and taking the required vitamin and mineral supplements, I wouldn't worry. Are you eating three cups of veggies every day? And eating olive oil, cheese and other fats? Taking vitamins and minerals? Drinking plenty of water? All of this is important to your health.

You're exercising a lot, and that's good! A muscular body will burn more calories/carbs than a fatty body of the same weight, even at rest.

Your weight loss will definitely slow down as you get closer to your goal weight. After a major weight loss, there might even be a few weeks when you don't lose anything. Just don't quit when the weight loss slows down or stall.

You're making really good progress.

I have lost lots of weight and fast before and I have an excellent health care plan, so I do it with my doctors knowledge and input.

I routinely lost 5 a week and occasionally up to 8 lbs a week, and I had a significant amount of gym work as well, 3 or so hours a week.

My doctors opinion is that weight loss per week can be as much as your body can handle, the important thing is to keep enough calories going in that y our body does not eat muscle.

The only risk is that your body might start consuming organ muscle, like the heart. This WILL NOT happen unless you drop down below something like 800 calories a day.

So no, your fine.

The last few pounds have to come off sloooooow. Please don't skip pre-maintenance. If you lose it fast, it will come back fast.
