Chocolate associated with stronger heart United Press International 08-14-09 STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug 14, 2009 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Chocolate people in research of heart attack survivors had lower blood pressure and were less inclined to die of heart disease, researchers in Sweden said. Of the 1,169 individuals examined, those who ate chocolate several times per week reduce their risk of dying from cardiovascular disease almost threefold when compared with those who didn't consume chocolate at all, said the study's lead writer, Dr. Imre Janszky of Karolinska Institute. Jansky's research also recommended anti-oxidants in cocoa slice the threat of death from cardiovascular disease in healthy older men and post-menopausal women, The Neighborhood documented. "If you're not over weight or have diabetes I'd not advise against eating chocolate," mentioned Janszky, whose results are to be printed in the September issue of the Journal of Internal Medicine.
