Default Folk/World musicians.. win the chance to play at Glastonbury with Kirsty Almeida
Hey guys, I hope this is of interest;

Talenthouse is looking for a musician to play on stage at Glastonbury festival in the UK with Kirsty Almeida and her band. She is particularly looking for someone who plays a more "unusual" instrument like a sitar/banjo/steel drums etc.

What's great is they will also fly you in from anywhere in the world and put you up in a hotel! What's more all entries could also be eligible for a share in a $2000 prize fund, definitely worth checking out

Take a look and good luck if you decide to enter!

I've got to dust off my spinning blue whale scrotum drums for this,
and polish up my narwhal tusk mallet.
I wonder if magle.dk would sponsor a logo on them?
No, the untitled Frederik Magle is too sophisticated.
He'd want room on my new primitive invention, a ceremonial grinder.
It's like a clapper, but has rows of polar bear teeth lined up on both sides,
so you can grind them together, giving you an awful and loud teeth-grinding sensation,
starting a song like that, helping the office workers in your audience feel at home and relax.

Bit academic now lads, Glastonbury 2010 was back in June.

Dammit, where's that bluddy monkey gone, can't play the barrel organ without a monkey. Ah well there's always the hurdy gurdy or the nose flute.

Well, as far as unusual instuments go, I've got a didgeridoo, but I can't play it.

I actually like the sound of the didgeridoo. Certainly it is an evocative sound and so particular to one country. Or as Colin would say "that other island!"

Re the post below yours when I posted "Another nutter" There was another post which has been deleted and that was the one I was referring to, not you perhaps the mods could just leave the post and delete the offensive bits. [just a thought]

Thanks for explaining Colin, I actually thought you might have been referring to the starter of the thread anyway.

Perhaps it was the poster that deleted it, can you delete your own post after some one posts after you ? if so it could lead to some interesting reading.
