Rap Legend Eminem Disses Lady GaGa, Katy Perry AND Bieber.

A song from the leaked upcoming ep called the kiss has some shots at gaga, bieber and katy perry.

The most discussed line that is mentioned on mtv news, perez hilton (yeah its BIG news) is :

'lady gaga need to stop quit her job at the post office, She's still a male lady

male as in male and not mail , thats some art there from the legend himself lol

I Lol'd at the line. Aside from that though I guess I'm a little annoyed though as Recovery was a good step away from that gimmicky crap but hey, it's Eminem, part of what he does is run his mouth.

Also, he may come out with some stupid lines here and there but we all know his lyrics are incredible and he is one of the most talented rappers.

dubGucKcolo 06-12-2011 04:08 PM

I find it funny actually, lol!! I mean I love Eminem what can I say ha-ha! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Some of you act like this is something new for Em. He's been dissing people in his songs for years.

And to be honest, he didn't say anything worse than what is being said by some about Gaga over on the CA board here on ALD ...

Forex Autopilot 06-13-2011 04:12 PM

I wouldn't call him a rap "legend" by any stretch of the imagination, but he's always rapped things like this. He did it in, what, 2000 talking about "boy and girl bands" and Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. It's his schtick.

StitlyDute 06-13-2011 08:17 PM

Trust you to say he isn't a legend. I beg to differ as I'm sure a lot of others will too.

LMAO @ "trust you to call him not a legend".

He's been around for 10 years. There are rappers who have been around for 25, 30 years. To me, those are the legends. LL Cool J, Dr. Dre (and yes, I realize he "found" Eminem, but that doesn't make Eminem a legend by proxy, in my eyes), etc. And, like I said, I, as in me, would not call him a legend. I'd call Snoop Dogg a legend long before I'd call Eminem a legend (and I don't like Snoop Dogg at all -- I'm not a fan of West Coast rap).

Marshall Bruce Mathers since he came out in mainstream the best rapper alive. Sold more then 85 milion albums with only 6 solo albums and 1 compilation albums. The only rapper to have 14 grammy's. The only rapper to have an Academy Award also known as an oscar. The only rapper to still have his first albums in the billboard 200. The only rapper with two diamond albums in the Usa. The best selling artist of the decade. A bilion hits on Vevo and surpassed Michael jackson with Facebook likes. This list can go on and on. Their is no discussion weather he is a legend or not, the discussion is how big of a legend he is.

Eminem lyrically the best rapper ever to touch an Microphone, acclaimed by many rappers and magazines. We all know rap is mainly a black genre, so to break through as an white artist and to be the best thats a legend right there. Reaching to an middle class of America, standing for the right of speech, i will stop before i write several pages about why he is already a legend since 2004.

GrileVege 06-15-2011 07:48 AM

thanks pop! Eminem IS a legend!

scoussysows 06-15-2011 11:53 AM

He's dissed people forever, especially pop artists, who cares. lol The only people who care are people who take themselves or these artists too seriously. He's dissed the Backstreet Boys in a song, I don't care, still like Eminem. lol

If you don't think he is a legend now, then by the time he officially retires or dies, he will be a legend. No one puts together a lyric like Eminem. He rides the beat like no one else. He is one of the greatest rappers ever. In terms of sales, he's the highest selling rapper of all time.

I don't agree that longevity equals legend. Snoop has been around a long time, but he's a terrible rapper. Only his first album was any good, and his work with Dr. Dre on Chronic, everything since has been garbage. He will be remembered as being around for a long time, featuring on pop songs, and smoking pot. Dr. Dre will be remembered as a great producer, average rapper, and the man that gave Eminem a chance. LL Cool J is a legend. Rakim is a legend. KRS One is a legend.

Haha you sure know your rap history, i agree with you completely. Eminem released three classics after each other and broke record after record. He's in the caliber as artists as Michael jackson, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Bruce Springsteen etc.

Nas, Jay z, Tupac, Biggie, Rakim, Krs one, Eminem, Run Dmc Big L, those are the legends through history. Snoop dogg is a longevity rapper who was alright, Dre released some classics but is more known as a producer.

I realize thats totally a matter of opinion, and you are certainly entitled to yours, but um, no ... not a chance in hell.

gdjfhdf 06-15-2011 10:22 PM

His insults aren't even clever anymore. Why not just write a good rap instead of constantly dissing other people for attention? I bought into the Eminem thing in the earlier days too, but now it's just boring.

Not a chance in hell ?, Look at Michael jackson he was black and its was very very hard to break trough as an black artist on channels as the like of mtv. He opened the door for other black artists as we know today. Eminem was in a black genre, very tough to break through if you dont have exceptional talents. Eminem broke through and opened the way for other white rappers even they are not so mainstream, but its accepted now.

He is in that caliber of the artists i mentioned because :
- He is the best in his own league and genre > hip hop
- Has the most awards than the competitors (they arent even close)
- Best selling artist if the decade
- Respected by milions and milions
- Reaches a whole middle class with his music and people relate
- Is the only artist who keeps going platinum and number one if he releases an album

These are facts, weather you like Eminem or not, the guy is a legend, over a billion hits on Vevo and the most likes on facebook. Thats the opinion of the world, think about it http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.png

Yartonbler 06-16-2011 12:50 PM

Saying someone is the "best" is a matter of opinion. Saying he broke records and won awards is fact. Breaking records and winning awards doesn't always make someone the best or even good. It's all a matter of perspective and taste.

Totally agree with this. Again, it's totally a matter of opinion. None of those people the poster mentioned had to resort to dissing people in their songs, or threatening to kill anyone. (In fact, MJ was about as far from any of that as you could get.) This is why, while I recognize what he's achieved in his career, Em won't ever be in the class with any of those others mentioned IMO.

xochex 06-16-2011 05:52 PM

I'm not into the Eminem tracks that do just diss people or talk about sex etc BUT he is a lyrical genius, the best rap has known, the best music has known.

Forget about the really commercial stuff like "Without Me", "Just Lose It", "Ass Like That" etc and look at the songs that have deeper meaning like

Stan - showcases what a fantastic storyteller Eminem is. yes the content may be violent and may paint a picture that people aren't comfortable with but what makes this any different to a Stephen King novel. It's expression.

Cleanin' Out My Closet - Was the first Eminem song I really loved and he opened the door to the rap world to me. It's not just a gangsta's paradise anymore and sure some hate Eminem for commercialising the genre but he's made it accessible to everyone. Made it so there's no discrimination for fans.

Mockingbird - A fantastic song. It's intriguing to me to hear his raps about his daughter and the things they've gone through as a family. Again, amazing emotional expression.

Lose Yourself - If Eminem ever doesn't know what to do with himself maybe he could turn to motivational speaking because this song has pumped up motivation all over it

Beautiful / Not Afraid - For me these two songs are Eminem's best and the most relate-able and inspirational. I see Beautiful as a prelude to Not Afraid. In Beautiful Eminem raps about being depressed and not being able to get himself "out of this slump" and the verses are quite sombre but then the chorus brings in that message of hope and understanding.

In my shoes, just to see
What it's like, to be me
I'll be you, let's trade shoes
Just to see what it'd be like to
Feel your pain, you feel mine
Go inside each other's mind
Just to see what we find
Look at **** through each other's eyes
But don't let 'em say you ain't beautiful, oh
They can all get f*****
Just stay true to you The song has incredible flow too. Now Not Afraid has to be one of my favorite songs ever. To me it shows strength of character and again it's a very inspirational song to never give up and not let anyone pull you down and that you can pull yourself back up.

Eminem is much like the Backstreet Boys, in that he makes a difference to people's lives. He helps pull people out of their dark days and gets them through it with his music. The man is a legend for all the right reasons. I completely get the comparison to the Rolling Stones etc because he is part of a generation and changed the face of music much like the Beatles and Michael Jackson. I can understand people not liking him grouped with those artists as rap is still an underdog and looked down upon by some as not real music.

Anything that makes you feel something is doing it's job even if you hate Eminem's songs he's doing his job by bringing that out in you.

Just realised how much of a fan I am and I don't even know his album tracks!
