Default NEW Energy Ways
Hi

i have read about the energy system in "Astral Dynamics - A new approach..." and i am a little skeptic, because is the "energy" really there or is it just some kind of placebo effect that makes you believe that it really works? (that is not really the question), it seems a little superstitious to me, and to be honest i do not really believe it. Do you have to believe in it before it works? i know the book says that people have great success using these techniques, but have anyone tried them and did they get you closer to have an oobe? how long did it take to get the technique to work? Should i try system or would it be a waste of time?

It is not because i do not believe the author, but when i search this technique some people says that the new energy system do not really work...

Hello, Kralafrap.

Energy work is real.

It's as close to superstition as acupuncture, for example, which has been practiced for several thousand years. There are skeptical-minded people who think acupuncture is bogus, because they do not understand it, and for some reason everything we don't understand yet is bogus or superstition.

Turns out I read a report about a study two weeks ago that found that acupuncture is not only efficient for pain treatment, but they made a connection between correct application of the technique and triggering (IIRC) a neuro-transmitter that explains why. I doubt this will be the last connection they're making in regards to acupuncture. That's the kind of hard science everyone has been waiting for, but acupuncture worked regardless whether we know this or not.

Similarly, energy work simply works. You won't find anyone who can tell you exactly why or how, but it is efficient. So, we simply do it because it has observable effect. The mechanism is unknown. There might be a lot of superstition or superficial observations surrounding the topic, the "theory" behind it might be all wrong, but the fact is that it works and has many beneficial effects if done correctly and wisely.

Be well,
Oliver

If you feel like spending the time, the author of "Molecules of Emotion" has documented experiments that show that when you direct attention at a specific part of your body, circulation increases. This is a scientific approach at the effects of directing attention. So, even if for some reason you don't consider energy to be something that can be directed (which would be contrary to what energy is- the ability to do work) the results are documented. By the way, Dr. Pert is the person who discovered endorphins and what they do.

i know the book says that people have great success using these techniques, but have anyone tried them and did they get you closer to have an oobe? NEW is not designed to have an OBE- NEW is designed to stimulate the energy body, and a strong and developed energy body is beneficial to have an etheric projection, which is energy based. What you need to have a conscious projection is the ability to reach a deep trance consciously (although you can project from a light trance, it's more difficult), the ability to recognize this state, and the ability to get out. Energy work is helpful for the exit and the ability to stay there longer.
But to answer your question directly, this forum is full of people who use the NEW approach and are very happy with it.

how long did it take to get the technique to work? Should i try system or would it be a waste of time? It's up to you. If you mean MAP, it's designed to bring about a conscious exit in 90 days- NEW is an energy work system.

It is not because i do not believe the author, but when i search this technique some people says that the new energy system do not really work... That's interesting. I have had good feedback from the people who actually work it, and I won't say anything else about the people who say it doesn't. But you can trace most of them to a particular organization. Or you could before, because that organization does not exist anymore.

Okay, now it makes a lot more sense, thanks! i have already tried some of the techniques, and i did feel something, especially in my feet which felt slightly electric. Not really anything on the rest of my body, but i will keep trying. I have not read much of the book and it might be mentioned later on, but how long a day should it be practiced, if the goal is to astral project?

First, I would practice no more than half an hour a day (I think that's a lot, I don't do more than fifteen minutes, but I realize that at first there is some familiarization that needs to happen), and I wouldn't practice at the same time I'm going for an attempt. I usually do my more 'complete' energy work at a different time of the day, and do simple energy raising as part of the routine.
