Default Bumper Sticker Messages
hey gang!

for me, this past week's experiences (ftg, discussions on this forum) have envoked deep reflection on what i thought i "knew" - came to find out that i have a long way to go, and some of the more important "initial lessons" weren't fully "learned". for example, i had long known of chakras and kundalini, but chose to focus more on the intellectual "fodder". i must have felt "they weren't as important" at the time, and have now found this to be an error in judgement. oh well, better late than never...

anyway, to counter the "depth" of discussions lately, i wanted to offer more of a "light-hearted" thread that hopefully will bring a snicker to a face or two... :d

in pondering many messages that recently came my way, two stand out - they both came by way of bumper stickers...

if you think you have humility, you've lost it. if you think education is expensive, try ignorance. i especially liked the "humility" bumper sticker - it came at a time when i was pondering this virtue and i found it to be one of those "synchronus" moments.

if anyone else has seen or heard about some fun bumper sticker messages, or any other "short messages" (less than 2 sentences) please post a reply and share!

i saw one a while ago, something like:

your dogma just ran over my dharma. part of why i remembered that was that i was on my way
to a local veggie restaurant named "dharmas".

i always thought "my karma ran over my dogma" was cute, but i have never been able to decide if it actually makes sense.
i know i've seen better ones - i'll post if i can remember them!

oops! i forgot to include one of the best "definitions" of love i've ever seen! it didn't come from a bumper sticker, but falls into "the short messages" category... this came from "the wave of love" link shared by donald - thread is titled "inspirational youtube movie".

for great fun, collect up a bunch of random bumperstickers and make your own, ala the "ransom note" technique! i had one i made on the back of my vw bus that said "you're foaming!" you should have seen the quizical looks that one got! my fave might be a ghandi quote that got stickerized - "i like your christ. i don't like your christians. they are so unlike your christ!"

love, blessings, and abundance!

weird...a week or so ago, i was thinking of making a bumper sticker that reads:

11:11
it's time to wake up

imagine traveling around in your car, sharing a message without doing anything. there is definitely power in that number. what do you think?

loretta

keep on, keeping on

i always thought this could be cool.

"it's 11:11, do you know where you are?
..hello, and welcome to right now!
..smile, and peace on earth"

all love,
michelle

i saw a personalized license plate once:

i c u 2 r 1

..could have multiple meanings, though...

as for bumper stickers, how 'bout:

"my other car is a flux-liner"

or, "life begins at 4d"

...suggestion for auto manufacturer idea-persons:
"introducing the new 2009 'ford ascension!' the first non-hybrid, zero-point energy fuelled automobile! goes zero to 4d instantly!" (36 month financing option)

i found these quotes on the "global consciouness project" website under planetary smile. i was compelled to share them with you, as they made me smile today. in these times of testing, catalyst, and chaos, i truly celebrate moments like these when i get that "on the top of the world" feeling... :d
it seems that a global consciousness, like any of us individually, might profit from some good feeling. most of us know how powerful a smile can be. walking down the street, we meet someone who is smiling and the natural inclination is to smile back. let us extend this delightful experience to the simple and elegant metaphor of a "planetary smile". it is vision that can work for any group organizing to meditate or pray for peace and for the earth. an intent to image, create, and be instrumental in a planetary smile symbolizes our potential for conscious evolution toward universal humanity.

what would it be like to gradually recruit pretty much every person on the planet to join in a planet-wide smile? i can imagine the earth herself would feel that, and it is easy to imagine that we all might be changed just a little, for the better, by such a shared experience. what is amazing to consider is that we can aspire to accomplish the organization and inspiration to do such a thing.

seeding a smile
a smile is like a plant
that is seeded in the heart,
love and joy grow it up
and it blossoms in the face.

for the happiness to grow,
seed a smile every day,
share your love with those around
and more smiles you will collect.

let's all bring a smile
to light up our mother earth.
let's set up an inner garden,
smiling flowers everywhere!

our story is a birth. it is the birth of humankind as one body. . . we are one body, born into this universe.
. . .
it was a planetary smile - like the smile of a new born baby. . . . now for the first time, we were seeing it together. ecstatic joy rippled through the planetary body - and through me as one of its billions of members.

framing the idea

barbara marx hubbard suggests that there will come a time when "... an uncontrollable joy will ripple through the thinking layer of the earth. the co-creative systems, which are lying psychologically dormant in humanity will be activated. from within, all sensitive persons will feel the joy of the force, flooding their systems with love and attraction...as this joy flashes through the nervous systems of the most sensitive peoples on earth, it will create a psycho magnetic field of empathy, which will align the next wave of people in synchrony, everywhere on earth. this massive, sudden empathic alignment will cause a shift in the consciousness of earth" i usually check out the page to see what the color of the dot is...

hope you enjoyed these and that they brought a smile to your face!

accolades to everyone and to art for posting the following:
framing the idea:

reminds me of:
and all this gloom of darkness, all this destiny of despair will be forever dispelled by the most humble of god's children. (don't know where i saw this)

and to david wilcock, for his science of peace work:
may the science of peace concept become the sop manual (standard operating procedure) for all of mankind. (by me)

hats off to:
tomislav spajic (dc member) for his signature line,
"build your self a door and walk through it"

may doorways for humanity be built - david's work and his site provides a framework and the light of hope for everyone visiting this forum and beyond.

saw a cool license plate today. i definitely don't want to reveal the state in order to maintain anonymity of vehicle's owner. in fact, moderators, please do not post this if you think it's legally questionable.

here it is:

cyu 2012

made me smile.

peace,
doug
