Default Pets? Not... Family yes!
Hi Im not a big TV watcher, never really go to the movies. But tonight ended up a bit diffrent. As hubby was going up stairs with 2 of our pups (over 265 lbs of dog running up the stairs to the bedroom door... then back becouse we walk to slow... Just to run back to the bedroom door and back till you reach it lol) Its definitely something to watch and enjoy every night lol

I went to turn the TV off and Marley & Me was on. Every one always said It was a must see... It was at the beginning I said why not?

Grabbed a cup of coffee, our # 3 retired pup tossed a log on the fire, got cozy and watched it.

Well what everyone failed to tell me is that I should have had a box and a half of tissues! Great Movie Just have tissues handy

Now I am what a ind referred to me as "The dog lady" lol I love all animals, but hubby is allergic to cats so We have had Dogs fish, iguana's ummm and more dogs All were rescued from the streets but one My Bullmastiff. A huge female weighed in at 165 and gorgeous! Her name was Athena

Dont worry I wont tell you about all my pups Just that for over 20 years we have always had at least 8 dogs.. That isnt including the 2 strays we fed out side of our shop who wouldn't go near a human for 5 years (trust me I tried) . It isnt including the strays where we walked for hours to find there master, or the ones we found homes for, or the litter my kids took care of from a wild stray dog....yes my kids me and hubby were the only ones allowed to tend to them and find them a home... Even after that she still wouldn't come near us ;( We now have 5 pups Hubby cringes at the words "Hun Guess who's comeing for diner" lol

The movie had me hysterical.... and in tears But I have to say it missed some of the funniest things these wonderful animals bring to us. Especially how they play and protect the kids .

The movie really had me go back in time (my "kids" are young men.

How my pups were there for my kids, how they were there for me during the worst times in our lives. How they were there for each other Truly unconditional love

They always amazed me how they acted as a "pack" yet with there only goal was to love and protect us... even as a pack. (anything over 1 pup the pack instincts come out in them... Imagine 8 ) lol.

I wont lie I feel each and everyone that transitioned. We hear them scratch the door, ring the bell, and feel them jump on the beds . I even heard one growl one day as a stranger was walking towards me who loked shady... He was even looking around to see where the dog was! I just said Good girl lol

I tell hubby when my time comes you have to place there earns in my casket lol. He laughs and says im going to have to hire 20 pawbearers!

This movie touched my heart... Im still working on the other half of the tissue box lol

Why? Because I have been so blessed I lived this movie and then some!
I was with each one they transitioned. It was the least I could do after all they have give us.

I thank God everyday for the memories he has given me being able to watch my kids and my pups together. As in the movie how he wrote about his pups.... So did my son every chance he got in his homework, reports lol. During a parent day in school they each had to write about there lives.... My son decided to write about our pups and how the interacted with the family...

The teacher announced the students voted that my son would be going last as the "grand fan-alley" As the room was hysterical laughing I sat in the back with this whole combination thing going on. Hysterical laughing and crying at the same time lol

The things my son remembered amazed me, hearing about it from his eyes was just as loving and warm as watching it through my own. When the teacher saw my reaction she said Now I know its true! lol Some of it was so crazy I thought he made some of it up lol Nope it was all true! lol These precious souls helped to teach my precious son to love

Our so called "pets", those on the earthly plain, and those who transitioned they were never pets...... They are family! They share our joys, they share our pain, they protect........and most of all....They love us unconditionally.

We all have something to learn from them (looks up..Thank you GOD! )

I guess I just wanted to give a little tribute to my 4 legged babies after watching the movie...

Feel free to to tell about your family members
