Default Just when you think you've seen it all... my poor Penny!
So it was about 1:00am last Sunday morning, everyone is asleep. All of a sudden all dogs went crazy barking, inside and outside ones alike. I wake up and see that lights are all over my bedroom flashing and I hear BAMBAMBAM on my door. I go to the door and my next door neighbor is tellin me that some drunk guy just crashed my fence and ran over one of my dogs! Well, long story shortened, she has a broken right front leg, a fractured right hip and a broken left pelvis. My poor girl has had 2 surgeries and a third one scheduled for Thursday. The right front leg isn't doing well after an external fixator was placed.
Thank Goodness, the dude has insurance with propery damage coverage and I am waiting on an adjuster to show up. I could care less about anything but poor Penny. Her Vet bills are mounting of course. We need healing vibes sent our way! She is of course the ultimate good patient and incredibly sweet. We love our Vet and they love her. This is a pic of her after the Emergency Vet splinted her up. We went to our regular vet the next morning.

Oh the poor thing I hope she heals up well and fast. Please keep us updated.

Are you going to go after his insurance to pay the vet bills? Considering that your dog is considered property in the eyes of the law.

Oh my. How terrible. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

I agree. The insurance company should be paying the vet bills.

Wow! That's pretty random!

I definitely agree that his insurance should be covering the vet bills... I know how expensive it was to set two broken legs on a tiny kitten, so I can only IMAGINE how much it is on a grown dog! I hope she recovers quickly!
