I would fear for my safety if I bathed my cat. She is a rescue and can be a bit timid. Thankfully she keeps herself pretty clean. Is there a dry shampoo product to use if your cat got into something, so you could give it a dry bath?

I think if I tried to bath my cats I'd end up in hospital! They HATE water. I do groom them though.

I don't bathe mine either, with the exception of a couple really rare occasions where they got covered in things that they couldn't take care of themselves (or shouldn't because it would make them sick).

I really don't think it's that necessary. They may not remove 'everything', but I also don't think they're carrying around some of the same dirt 16 years later either.

I don't think I'd have any chance of giving our cats a bath.
My old cat years ago used to go to the bath when my sis or bro were in it. And they'd pull him in. But he'd then jump straight out and run away.

I give my cat a bath once a month. My sister bathes her cat too. Both are outdoor cats and can get dirty. They do not mind the water at all.

Default Am I the only one who give their cat a bath?
Do you bath your cat? I do. I have an indoor cat and sometimes she sleeps on the bed too. Yes, I know cat's bath themselves, but do you really know how much your cat misses? This doesn't account for things like dust, dirt, and in some cases smoke that gets embedded in their fur. I' m a non smoker but I still give my cat a bath about 1-2 times during the year. You'd be surprise how dirty your cat is. I once knew someone that never bathed their cat since birth for 16 years. Gross. If your cat sleeps on the bed or on your furniture, that's years worth of dirt following your pet around. So am I the only one? Do you ever bath your cat?

I bathe my cat. Not frequently or anything. Maybe 2 times a year mostly to deal with an accident like getting his tail in the water dish and then in the litter box.

But surprisingly, my cat likes bath time. He doesn't try to escape or claw me or anything. Haha. It's great.
