O, wow, that is very nicely done! Wow.

I'm guessing you're getting it colored?

Well that's freaking huge and surprised at the location.. Hard to tell from your leg, but are you male or female? I am guessing female since your leg looks soft and squishy. How long have you had this dog or is it still a puppy? I can't wait to see what it looks like colored.

Lol that's what she said. Female lol is going to end up a leg sleeve that's why its big lol. And I have other tattoos lol. I've had blaze since he was 6 weeks bad circumstances. And he's 14 weeks now I got it as a puppy because that's how I first saw him. and I know hell be in my life until one of us passes. Im so excited for the coloring expecially bc his face has so much detail. Oh and Joe the reason I posted here is bc I had a apostle 3 months ago about tributes to your pets lol.

That's a awesome story and my woman thinks it's a nice tat. I was not trying to be mean, it comes natural.. Just was curious about a few things. And it's going to look great colored.

This is actually a nice tattoo. I've seen some that looks nothing like the image that they gave the tattoo artist. Could we see the picture that you gave the artist and the final artwork?

It looks great. Personally, even without the color done yet, it really looks like Blaze. He's such a cute pup, and he has such an expressive face.
I don't have any to put up. I'm really scared of needles or anything of the sorts. Plus, I'm going into a profession which would frown down upon it (Even tho I will secretly get a super little tiny one some day...). You know how people are, especially those elitist old timers.
So this will be a leg sleeve? I'm guessing Blaze will be the focal point?

That's gonna be tight. And kudos to you for the location. I have my whole back done and am working on a sleeve. Other than a piece on my upper hip/thigh I haven't done any other leg work.. or feet.. I'd have to be sedated I think LOL

That looks really good-did it hurt? I always wonder about the legs.

My husband has quite a few tattoos (I have a few too), and two of them now are related to dogs. He has a pin up with a dog on either side of her on one of his upper arms, originally he wasn't going to have them be our dogs-just Pit Bull type dogs, but then I brought in pictures and the guy made them look similar. He recently (about a week ago) got a psychedelic looking one of Sgt Stubby on his forearm. He wants a full sleve eventually, and that's his "dog" arm. On the back side of his forearm (right on that bone) he has "you can hate me provided you respect me" in Latin. When he had the pin up and the dogs done it took 3 sittings...each were 3 hours long. First the outline, then the shadowing, then the color.

The only dog related tattoo I've considered (so far) is the word Resilience/Resilient for a foster dog we had-Resi. And I thought about getting it down the side of my rib cage....but you know, I might want to have kids one day and I don't need that shit saying resILIEnce.

First of all thank you

Thank you ssmiechowski! I think it looks exactly like him too! I actually had a horrible fear of needles but this really helped me cope with that I have 4 tattoos so far my back ofy neck, I have a chest piece and holy crap did that hirt, I have a back piece, and now I have my thigh. Yeah I get the job point I cover all mine for jobs. lol ignorant people think I'm a hooligan bc I have tattoos lol. And yes blaze will be my focal point ill be adding his paws to it and the some favorite toys to the back ground and a quote about dog being man's best friend!

Letigra actually wasn't too bad the outline took 4 hours! Colors gonna be about 6 so we will see how I'm feeling after that lol! And thank you!

Jamie not anything you can't handle after the first half hour it just gets annoying lol. Shading is uncomfortable though lol. Blaze is my first dog I've gotten and trained and raised all by myself and this is crazy but he's literally like a best friend to me! Lol and that's a good idea! I'll have tattoos for my kids and my dogs lol

Pretty funny to get a permanent tattoo of a dog you have had for a month or two. What if it turns out to be a terrible dog? It is possible

Do you have children or a husband? If so do they rate high enough to get a portrait tattoo? If so where will you put them?
