Default Two cute Shih Tzu dogs up for free adoption
Someone is putting up their house for sale and moving away. He has two shih tzus, 7 years old each, that he really would like to keep together and would like to give to a loving home. If not, they're going to have to end up at shelter.

If you're interested, let me know on this forum and I will get you the contact information and details.

my 2 cents. tell your "friend" if you get a dog (or 2) it is your responsibility to keep it or find a new home. shelter is not an option (especially for a dog you have had 7 years).

not my "friend" or my anybody i even know. just passing along the message and doing someone i know a (small) favor. shelter doesn't seem to be this guy's first option obviously. i don't know under what circumstance he wants to give up two dogs he's had for seven years, and he cares enough to try and keep them together... just not with him anymore.

correction: the dogs are seven years old, not sure they've been with him all along. just passing along the info to dog lovers who might be looking to have two shih tzus.

Giving pets away for free really isn't a good idea. Whenever I see ads that say "free to good home", it makes me cringe.

Many people troll ads for dogs (and cats) that are free. Often they wind up using them as bait for dogfighting or selling them to labs for experiments.

Hopefully the people moving will thoroughly check out whoever is interested in adopting these dogs.

not sure who would fight shih tzus... not sure those dogs can put up any fight at all, actually. the thought itself is despicable to me. as for lab experiments-- as far as I can tell, lab animal supply chain is part of a lab's QA/QC processes and not just any animal can be brought in off the street. Although I could be wrong.

you'd rather the guy sell the dogs? then someone would label him a puppy mill owner or something.

Shih tzus aren't used as fighting dogs but they might be used as bait.

I don't see a problem with selling them. As long as they find a good loving home, that's all that matters.
