Default OMG.....soooo clingy!!!!
So my new foster Dixie is so freakin clingy!! She's following me from room to room to room. Has to lay in my lap, has to have a paw on me at all times and she whines if she can't see or find me or Beau. She's very clingy to him as well. I've NEVER had a dog before that HAS to be touching me or seeing me at all times. She doesn't whine or anything or freak out when I put her in her kennel nor does she do it when I leave. I've just never had a dog like this before and the more she opens up then more and more I'm starting to see some "pit bull" in her as well!! So I guess I can say I have a Lab/Pit Bull mix now!

So yeah....again this is a senseless ramble about Dixie.

I'm joining the ranks kinda

Be prepared to never use the bathroom alone ever again. haha.

My dog is pretty clingy too, has been since day 1 at 12weeks and he's a year old now so it doesn't ever get better sometimes LOL! If I leave the room, he'll come trotting behind me to see where I'm going or if I'm doing anything interesting. Not so much the rest of my family but me especially. I kind of like it.

ps: I was unaware you had a apbt mix foster!! post a photo pleasseee!

Roxie's like that too... My family hated it and wanted to return her because she would only ever listen to me or play with me and never them. But, Rox has chilled out significantly... doesn't enjoy being shut out of the bathroom, but it doesn't kill her to pay attention to the the rest of the family and play with them once in a while too.

Jt, Caesar and Jezebel are super clingy. Jt follows me around the house and when I am baking is constantly underneath my feet.

Is it a pit thing? I'd say 90% of all I've ever met were super clingy. Is it because they're so damn adorable that we always want to be with them so we make them that way?

I have 4 that follow me everywhere. I don't know what it is like to go to the bathroom by myself.

Reneek0707.... sit outside the shower? what is that? Ares and Sadie join me in the shower! Its kind of funny. You see them poke their heads in, one on each side, look at each other and here they come. The other 2 guard the door and bark at any one that tries to come in. If by chance I get in and shut the door before they can get in, they sit outside the bathroom door and whine until I come out.

They give you NO personal space and have no respect for your need for privacy.

Diesel is not one to snuggle but he follows me EVERYWHERE too.

He also did not like to go "make pee" as we call it outside by himself. He would wait by the door outside until one of us walked out there. We fixed that one.. quickly!

Both of mine follow me everywhere. I can do laps around the house, crawl under the bed, weave in and out of chairs and everything else and they'll still be right by my side tails wagging and all. Gets annoying sometimes...especially when i try to shower and they both have their heads poked inside the shower curtain just sitting there watching to make sure I don't drowned or disappear. At least I know they love me. I think it's a part of the breed..I've never had one that wasn't clingy or didn't want to be by my side every hour I'm home

Tell me! My husband works nights, so Trina decided to sleep with me the week he was gone, wellllll, when he was home at night on the weekends, guess who HAD to sleep between us??!! Yep, head on the pillow and everything, then she scoots down and "spoons". Now i cant get her out of the bed. not sure what to do, she even has her own bedroom with a nice double bed and stereo and all her toys and pillows, but she wont sleep in there at night. Makes some things kind of difficult.......LOL

The head on the lap thing reminded me of Bonnie

Both Bon and Abbey are super clingy dogs. Abbey doesn't have to be touching you like Bonnie does but if you lock her out of the room you're in, she will SCREAM! Like a puppy in the kennel for the first time

If the hubby and I want alone time we just guide the dogs out by their collars, tell them to "Get a life!", and close the door. They will lay on the floor by the door, you'll see a few paws sticking under the door, but we get our alone time!
