i voted. i hope you get more votes (or they do some more research before considering BSL) i am sorry to hear this news. this proves it only takes ONE incident to cause an uproar for BSL. People need to be more responsible.

Thank all of you for the support. I have my form email sent out to all council members. I have also called everyone I know that lives in the city or nearby. It's going up on FB soon. I debated FB since I was afraid shares would bring people who are in favor of BSL, but I am going to put it out there and hope the people in favor are a minority. Until I know more there isn't really much to do but keep netowrking and talking to people, plan for the worst, hope for the best and wait to see how the city responds.

So, a Pit Bull owner friend of mine called the city council number and got one of the council members. She asked about possible BSL and he said he was in support of the idea.

She then spoke with a lady who worked hard to stop BSL in Ionia MI. That woman suggested getting local statistics such as how many Pit Bulls live in our city and how many have been involved in incidents. Friend called AC to ask about getting those stats. The ACO who handled the call told her she has to fill out a FOA request, but that he didn't see why she would do that because "Pit Bulls are viscous, we support a ban, and you should just give up and euthanize your dog."

I think we may be in for a fight if it goes as far as a proposal being set forth by the city. I really hope we can nip it in the bud.

I voted. I'll be writing out an email when I get off work tomorrow as today's heat has left my brain pretty fried.

I hope this blows over for you guys, and I know you're already on the warpath.

Ty, again, everyone. I have sent out countless anti-BSL emails for other cities. Really hoped I would never have to ask others to do the same for me.

I love how when one Human messes up or is irresponsible, the dog and then all the uninvolved responsible owners are the ones that pay the price. Just saying
