Yep that website has been ticking people off for a long time now. Honestly there are tons of sites out there that really have some pretty bad misinformation regarding the breed. Its really sad, really. I mean people go to these sites looking for facts and information and a lot of the time they get the wrong info

Oh yes. And a lot of people think Colleen Lynn is pretty dodgy about her own pit bull attack story that led her to launch the site in the first place.

well the word "type" is usually used to refer to a dog that looks like this or that breed, but who has no ped to prove him being purebred.
that's why people use "type"

I have 2 dogs that I'll call types, a beagle type dog and a jack russel type dog
they look like a beagle and a jrt, but no papers to prove them being pure bred

Yes, racism

And I realize some people use ¨type¨ that way but I feel like when people say ¨pitbull type¨ they mean ¨any dog that looks like a pit bull¨.. which means they group Dogos, Bullies, BTs, Am Staffs etc into being ¨pitbull types¨ THAT I dont like

She's a liar and it's been poven. She's been called out before only to sputter and back track to nothing. She's worthless but the news outlets quote her site ALL THE TIME! She was JUST interviewed on CBS (I think it was that station) today. I missed it thank God. I probably would have been furious and probably would have put my foot through the TV.

The owner of the site is hailed as an expert on the breed but in reality, that's like calling someone who got hit by an SUV an expert on motor vehicles. At best she's an expert on looking up news reports in google (because anecdota can never be wrong, you guys!) at best. She's a big fan of regurgitating useless rhetoric and when going against pretty much anyone that can call her on her bullshit she sits there like the moron she is and stammers. She got mauled by a dog and it shoved her head so far up her ass she'll never be able to pull it out. Essentially she's the master of useless grudgewank who makes a point to stay on her adorable little site where she can shelter herself and ban anyone that disagrees with her

I hate how they type the dogs together too, especially since most of the people doing the identifying and saying this is a pitbull type dog are completely ingorant. I mean it's one thing to call an amstaff a pitbull type dog, still not accurate, but I've seen boxers and English bulldogs called pitbull type dogs. That's just freaking ridiculous. Guess what if you start calling half the dogs in the US pitbull type dogs, magically the numbers of bites attributed to pitbull type dogs goes up, hmm how did that happen? I'm reading this awesome book called Pit Bulls: Villains or Victims, and it has awesome info about the history in the US of the media creating villains out of certain dog breeds. It talks about how that happens and why it works, and it has some really great info about dog bite stats and cdc studies that have since been found to be inaccurate that these BSL people are still quoting as fact. There is literally a 12 year old cdc study of dog breeds and dog bites that is used to promote a ton of bsl in the US, and even the cdc doesn't stand behind their own study anymore. It's just absurd amounts of propoganda and misinformation.

Damn! I shouldn't have looked, but I found the CBS report video and it infuriated me. The report was on the State of Maryland now deeming the pit bull a "vicious animal". Sadly, the newscasters reporting seemed to agree with that ignorant b****, Colleen Lynn. I sure hope other states don't follow Maryland's example.

I find her obsession with pit bulls even more tragic because people seem to think they're in the clear if they have other dogs. Two weeks ago a baby was ripped limb from limb by a labrador retriever! Another one was killed by a mastiff mix. You're not immune to dog bites because you stay away from pits.

I found dogsbite.org's facebook page awhile back and tried defending the breed. I was very polite, I did not call names, get angry or use foul language but she deleted all my comments, called me a nutter and then banned me.

I heard the facebook page was taken down once because of the pictures she had on there but she just came back. Her cover pic is a bunch of kids with dog bite injuries...I always wondered if those kid's parents knew she has their pics plastered all over face book or not. I would be really mad if I found my kid's pic up on a facebook page that wasn't mine, without permission weather I agreed with the cause or not.

My neighbors own 2 pugs...They come over and ask if my pit can come out to play with their dog because they want the pugs to be as well behaved as my pit..
