One of Amy's many quirks - she's way more docile around little kids than full-grown humans. Whenever people want to pet her, she'll sometimes get overexcited around them and start trying to play tug with her leash and just get way too boisterous. I usually find a stick or something for her to chew on to have an outlet for all that energy but she's still a handful.
But when little kids (under the age of 8 or so) pet her, she's a perfect little angel. She'll stand there perfectly still and move only the tip of her tail, or roll over and let them pet her belly. I just spent about 10 minutes with a 4 year old outside who rubbed Amy's belly and Amy just laid there like she was stoned. I guess she must understand that the little ones are more fragile? I think it's adorable. But I do wish she'd calm the fuck down around older people. |
