I have a pit bull puppy who is almost 7 months old. He isn't the most hyper dog in the world but it seems like he tires out too quickly and always has since I got him. (which was at 8 weeks old) I feed him the best food I can afford on my budget and I keep him healthy. Maybe he's just growing still and will have more energy when he gets older? He has no problem running until he can't stand when playing with other dogs but when I'm playing with him and his toys, walking him or even trotting him along side my bike he lags behind me. Even if I want to just run him down the block, he'll lag behind me and go as slow as he can. It's not like I exercise him 24/7 and expect him to give me more, I'd just like enough energy to go on a quick jog or walk. Do you think he'll ever have more energy or am I stuck with a future couch potato?
Any input will help, Thanks. |
