NEVER again!!!! *Vent*
Never again will I have an intact female with an intact male, unless the female is for breeding purposes!!! Which isn't for a long time, poor old dumb Beagle is loosing his mind and hasn't stopped baying non stop for about oh 4 days now!! I actually had to give him a break and give him benadryl to take the edge off of him! Poor old guy....so glad it's almost over!!
Ugh and the boyfriend doesn't want to spay her either yet, his dog, his choice. Which I understand it's a money issue, but when we get the Rottweiler (which will be an intact male) she's getting spayed ASAP!! I'm not dealing with 3 intact dogs....with two being males!!! There's my vent for the day! |
Pft, I'd be taking her to get spayed anyway!

How old is she? If she's under a year I wouldn't spay either.

This is why I will never have an intact female lol. Intact males are fine!

One of the reasons I had my ol' biotch spayed. Too nerve racking to go through, if you don't need to.
|
I'm hoping it's soon....my poor dog is passed out cold and high so he can sleep tonight with having bay every 5 seconds!!!
|
LOLOLOL, dude, you could tell bf to get his bitch spayed, or he's going to have to "give Beau a hand" every heat.
Wrong, yes. But try to get a picture of the face he makes for me. |
Yea I know the feeling. Before I got Piper fixed I had to deal with my mom's Cockapoo Lil Bear at my door all day and night waiting and crying and barking if I took her outside and he couldn't get to her.
|
Sorry if this is a dense question, but I honestly don't understand. Why would anyone have an intact dog that they didn't plan to breed?

Lol I would do what Robyn suggested and make him give Beau "a hand" and I bet he will spay her real quick! Lol |
What female are you talking about? Takoda?

Take her in for a spay and then tell your honey "Happy late-Valentines Day Babe!"
---------- Post added at 10:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ---------- As far as your beagle goes, is he papered, health tested, or do you just want a good hunting dog off him? Because you could probably find a really good Beagle or Beagle mix pup in a shelter with a lot of potential. Your dog, your choice, but you only want ONE dog, so what about the rest of the litter he produces? What if they justend up dumped and abandoned. Just an idea. And maybe you don't know your b/f's intenetions...maybe in the back of his mind he would actually like to breed "one litter" eventually so he can have a puppy from her because she "awesome" but he doesn't want to admit it. That's just my 2cents. I think it's totally fine to have intact mutts or dogs you don't plan on breeding as long as you can do it responsibly http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/biggrin.png |
