Default Can I just rant for a sec ???
I'm been trying to find some real pitbulls since I've been in baton rouge but all I keep seeing are these bully dogs and scatter bred dogs for like 800 up or ppl wanting more bcuz "he's a special color " It's like nobody knows what they are breeding anymore . It's making all the real dog men keep all their stock and not let anyone enjoy them. When I was younger and coming up those dogs where amazing athletic dogs .wgere are the guys who do it for the love ???????NOT FOR THE POCKET!!!! Excuse the screaming just frustrated

well I sure hope its full of blood and not chocolate

just kidding.

one thing you should realize is that most responsible breeders don't advertise their litters, because they don't need to. the quality of their dogs sells themselves, most of the time they even have waiting lists

I would find a member whose dogs you admire, and ask for some references to breeders who breed dogs just as good

Hotel thats what I plan to do with Joe ^~ LOL!!

I just ADORE Mason. I know he is a Colby line and is exactly what I am looking for. But I also plan on before I get a pit in attending shows and what not to get to know some breeders and stock so I know where the pup is coming from.

I kind of agree with this. No offense intended at all but I'm glad that you have to know people to get a good APBT and that they're not just selling them to anyone with some cash in hand.

Yeah I agree everyone shouldn't own these dogs and I'm not saying that ppl shouldn't breed bully dogs. All I'm saying was I recently visited my home town a few weeks ago and saw some guys walking dogs there was two bully mixes (short very stocky block heads) but this one guy had a dog that resembled my CJ from years ago . The thing that bothered me was my younger family was like "Why are they walking that dog with those pits "that's when I knew I have to look hard to find the good stuff now that I dont have the connects I used to .with that being said any info on shows or good breeders I'm all ears (Open to the real dog men that is lol)much love to you guys have anice day

"scatter bred"...????? I have a scatter bred APBT Wildside/OFRN and she is the best darn worker you have ever seen and she is also pointed in the ADBA, AADR and close to CH in the APBA....Not sure if you understand the proper meaning of "scatter bred"

I also own American Bullies and they have excellent peds Not sure how you can tell from a pic if a dog is scatter bred...lol

Why do people think well bred dogs can a) simply be bought and/or b) will simply fall into their lap without any effort?

I'm not saying I'm just saying I've come from handling dogs bred a certain way and they actually were pretty easy to get to now having to settle and it's frustrating. Why shouldn't it be easier it wasn't always like this????I mean when I started this post I was just ranting a little about the way I felt I don't want to step on any toes or anything

That's a beautiful dog right there !!You don't mix that with bully blood do you ??I also own bullies and are fond of them and they have good peds also .My point was these are two different dogs in general
and in my opinion you should claim each as his own individual

Okay you confused CK I think, because a scatter bred APBT isnt really a bad thing, it can be but I have seen great dogs that were scatter bred like no ones business lol now scatter bred or more technically mixed breed like the APBT/AmBully cross your talking about is retarded to me.
Each is its own breed and thing, no sense in mixing them up and creating a worthless mutt IMO.
