Default do i have a bully pupy???
**Pls ignore my title typo!! I can't figure out how to edit it!!**

Hi everyone,

My husband and I adopted a puppy two weeks ago (named Sweet Dee). We were told she was an AmStaff. She is now ~4 months old and I am starting to question that. Her head is not very boxy and she is thin (maybe she was underfed in her previous life?) I have attached pictures of her brother too (that is still up for adoption in IL!). At ~4 months she weighs ~23 lbs and is 16" tall.

She is SOOO precious and smart! She already knows how to sit, stay, lay down, roll over, play dead and beg! We are still working on her loose leash walking though... that has been a tough one! I just want to know what she is so when people ask I can answer!

I'd appreciate any input! Thank you!

It's a possibility. It looks like there is Shepherd in them or Hound. Not sure what else, maybe Amstaff. Just enjoy her, she is cute!

They are mutts And I mean that in a good way! Most everyone thinks that anything shorthaired, and especially anything brindle, is a Pit Bull mix when they are puppies... as dogs start to get out of the "frumpy puppy stage" though, it usually becomes quite clear which ones aren't!

Your girl is absolutely darling!!

I think the pup might have some pit bull in her, but she also has a few other breeds too. Shes adorable!

she is cute! I am not sure what she is, its hard to tell when they are pups. They said my 3 year old (he was 14 weeks when I got him from the rescue) was an Am. Staff, now after 3 years I have concluded he has to be a bully breed great dane mix, he is just to tall and lanky and his parts just mesh for the two. It took me years to figure it out though, and I am still not 100% for that matter

^ This. And she kind of looks a little like this shepard mutt I had as a child. You'll have a better idea when she's full grown.

You will have a better idea when she is full grown. To me right now she looks like she has some shepherd and hound in her. However with a mutt you never know, she could have some bully breed in her.

Can I just ask why people are saying shepherd? I'm not seeing it at all. What the OP has is a shorthaired, brindle and white mutt of a mutt.

I don't see any shepherd in her nor bully if you mean American Bully. But without papers or first hand knowledge from the "oops" breeder (lol) no one can tell you for sure. There may be some Pit Bull and/or Am Staffy but too young to tell yet! And for some reason I think Basenj or Pharaoh hound. She is really cute.

I agree, I see very little am. staff/apbt in her face. I see it mostly in the body structure.
But her head doesn't look bully breed at all to me except a li'l bit in side views.
Her color/markings say am. staff but a lot of boxers and mastiffs are brindle too!
I have a friend who got a rescue dog, she always says he's purebred Am. Staff lol... how on earth does she know?!?! I'd say am.staff mix when people ask, and a SUPER DUPER cute one at that... I'm in love with her face/ears!

Really, you can call her whatever you want :P Call her a Purebred Amboxstaff Hound LOL people will believe ya now a days. I once told someone Leon was an American Gator Hound. They asked where they could find a breeder for them lol.
