[Grainiary]

I haven't posted in a long while because I just moved to Washington D.C. I live in a house, but with a cement backyard. That's all fine, we walk two hours a day among other forms of exercise. The dogs are good and so am I. Here's the problem. I live in a questionable neighborhood literally filled with pit bulls. And, apparently, people get these dogs here because they don't have to have them on a leash since they are so loyal....WTF.....Avi has already "gotten into it" with one unleashed dog, but thankfully, she responds to my voice and he and I knew how to break up a fight. No damage done. Though, I did give him an earful about leashing....I've seen him again and his dogs on a leash. Tonight......this guy had his dog off leash and she came barreling out of the alley towards my dogs. She was a puppy/young (maybe 10 mos) It looked like they'd already bred her (nipples) not sure if thats possible, maybe she was older than I thought. She was very dog friendly, which is great. Mine are not. I'm screaming at the dude to get his dog while holding my two up by the collar since its clear the other dog not going to do anything. Im kicking at her to get her to back off, but she keeps jumping up on us. Mine are freaking out at this point at having a dog shove her face in theirs, jump on them etc. I tell the guy to get a leash, and he tells me to stop freaking out. I try to tell him as i'm leading my dogs away its not his dog I'm worried about but that mine would kill her given the chance. Hes just laughing etc. He still won't grab his dog and is letting her follow us.
I'm so pissed at this point. Then, I realize it is my student's brother I've been cursing at the whole time. Still....its amazing how people don't get this shit.... just saying....
