BruceCroucshs 10-28-2011 06:21 AM

About 2' but that's because that's as high as I can get my hand lol

girlsround 10-28-2011 03:44 PM

5'10" cause i dont bother to go any higher.

Beerinkol 10-28-2011 03:55 PM

She won't jump to grab a toy but she jumps from a standing position to try to see over the fence.... It's a 6 foot fence and she gets the top half of her body above the fence. Lol

Shekinah at 8 months old can jump as high as the 6 ft kennel run

Vomephems 10-28-2011 06:28 PM

Highest I've seen mine jump is my height, because I can't get the toy any higher. I am 5'6.

Straight over my head. As in, her tail totally clears my head.

I have a truck and the bed is about 4.5 feet above the ground and I have seen her jump into the bed of the truck. Never really tested the limits to see how high she could actually go- Not too sure if I want to either.

Don't know about a toy but I saw him scale a 4-foot wall last night without breaking a sweat. He's 5 months old.

From a sitting position I have seen Jake go straight up over 6 Ft. to grab a toy. Harley, my rottie, jumps even higher.

Chassis, 8 months old, doesn't jump hardly at all. Probably the highest I've seen is MAYBE 2 feet when I have the flirt pole out but definitely not higher than that. I guess that is good though because apparently it's not good to encourage pups to jump too much while they are still growing. My standard poodle on the other hand can jump at least 6 or 7 feet high, I call him pogo poodle. When people are in the alley behind our home, he likes to jump up and down continuously so he can see over the fence and get a better look at them. He looks totally ridiculous and people in the alley always laugh and point. I guess that's why they are often used in circuses. He never escapes though, has no desire to. He also jumps like crazy really high when I have the flirt pole out, it is hard for me to keep him from catching it, he is way better at the game than the pup for that reason.

i would love to see a Rottweiler clear a six foot fence from a stand still. nfw

Hbkj89D2 10-28-2011 10:38 PM

She doesn't clear fences from a stand still, from a sit, she goes straight up to grab toys, tires etc. well over 6 feet high. Now when it comes to fences, she has absolutely no problem getting to the top of a six foot fence from a run, and then clears the rest of the fence from there. That's my agility girl! I have no use for Rotts that look like potatoes with tooth pick legs. I like the much more athletic lines, thus while she would not do well in the show ring, she does kick ass in performance areas. Next chance I get to video her in action, I will be happy to post it. You would be surprised what a real working rott can do.

i mistakenly thought you meant your rott could clear a 6 foot fence from stand still. i look forward to seeing your rott clear a 6ft fence with a running start. even that is a feat for a rott.

I was just asking because my gf thinks our dog is like some kinda super dog because he can grab a you that's above my head (about 6'5 with my arm up) and I told her plenty of pitbulls can jump 6 and above to Grab something and she replied "post it on your pitbull website an see then" so here it is lol

kasandrasikl 10-29-2011 02:54 AM

Lily can "touch" my hand above my head, so I'd say that's probably a 5.5-6ft jump when she hits it. She usually does it for no toy, it's a trust 'trick' that we started learning early- touching hands equals extra super yummy treats (to keep her from being hand shy for any reason). Now she just does it because she thinks jumping is awesome http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif.

When Sandi was, er, visiting the neighbours she was getting over a 10 ft fence with no run up, it's along side the house. I would guess from the claw marks on the top off her front paws & the scratches on the wood from the rear claws, her butt was at least 6ft off the ground to reach the top. The lowest claw marks are above my eye level & I'm 6'2". She can jump my head height from sitting, head to head that is, not clear it.

Dax can jump 7' up a tree after a squirrel. It is awesome to see. Massive strength.

SallyIsNice5 10-29-2011 11:38 AM
