Or this one?

I
'm trying to find a nice breeder but I'm actually getting really upset. All the ones in my area seem to offer these dogs that are OBVIOUSLY not pure bred...makes me sad.

x2. The fact that they sell "Red Nose Pitbull's" should be a huge tip off.

Same thing with the second link.

Explain to me the "Red nose" comment? I'm still learning about the breed. Is that not an actual thing...or what?

You have one dog, Enjoy her until you learn more about the type dog you're most interested in and a resources for the dog you have in mind. No one here is going to come right out and recommend a breeder to you. For one, it's probably against the forum rules and for another, everyones tastes in dogs are different. What I like you may not like.

Edit to add: And last I heard, Flametree had gotten out of breeding for a while.

No, what we are looking for (and we won't be buying until March) is a blue male with white down his chest.
It's hard finding good kennels around where I live. A lot of ignorant people breeding badly bred dogs with one another just for the extra cash in their pocket. I want a champion. Our plans are to get him, stud him out, get a female from his first litter, keep her, then breed them both out. Start somewhat of a small breeding hobby ourselves. I love these magnificent animals and I would love to start breeding them to provide other people with champion dogs and not these nasty, squat, wide things that "gangsters" seem to think are cool these days....sigh.

The color of a dog's nose is just that. It is no indication as to the type of dog or it's bloodlines. It's often used as a gimmick by BYB's to make it seem like they have something rare or special. Any time a "breeder" brings up the color of a dog's nose to you,run far away.

I am with Joe, I would wait, you still have a pup, I JUST got another dog and my boy is going on 3 this year, I don't think I was ready for it but I did it against my better judgment, its best to wait in any case. I did it because I don't want my only dog to be 6 when my daughter is 3 and actually able to play more with him (I am pregnant) but I don't want a puppy then either so I figured right now is really the only time I can get a new pup and have it be the age I want when she is old enough to really play with him

I want an APBT as described by the ADBA standard. I am having trouble finding breeders that actually stick to this standard. I stay away from UKC, because too many people lie on the paperwork and are actually selling APBT/English Bulldog hybrids. I never realized how difficult it is to find a good breeder. Is it just this breed that is so warped? I know a good bit about the breed, I am only just now learning about the PEOPLE that breed them...

Other dogs I have knowledge about: dachshunds and weimaraners.

I agree with Joe. You seem to have good intentions so please don't take this the wrong way,but if you didn't realize right off the bat that those kennels you shared are no good. And the whole nose color thing, you have a lot left to learn before you should even think about breeding.

after your last post I wanna beat my head against a wall...do you know what it involves in breeding dogs of any kind? Also breeding dogs that are champs is all well in good but if you are not going to do anything with them the are just pets and should not be bred because they are not prooven worthy. Stick around and educate yourself please.

I don't mean champion in that way, haha. I wasn't referring to their ability to do it.

I was referring to what "I" feel is what an APBT is. It saddens me that so many people are warping the breed by crossing it with other things just to make it look "cooler" and "tougher". They want trophy dogs. What I mean by champion, is by gorgeous, functional, standard strict APBT. THIS, IMO, is a perfect dog: http://www.dooziedog.com/dog_breeds/american_pit_bull_terrier/main.jpg

T
his, is not: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_hr9ww5Mmy4/TlQC7yGkRJI/AAAAAAAAAZI/0BJLumIp39k/s1600/BLUE+PIT+BULL+STUD.jpg

A
lthough I have nothing wrong with mutts, my baby is a Pit Bull mutt herself...I am just angered by people that sell dogs they claim to be purebred APBT's when they CLEARLY are not.

So you're annoyed at people breeding shit dogs, and you want to breed shit (unproven) dogs. Sounds like a plan. Go for it.

I am not talking about breeding right now. I am talking about doing it YEARS from now. Lol. I knew the nose thing wasn't an actual breed, I just didn't what was meant by the comment. And I knew the kennels were shit, that's why I was asking opinions. I dislike those kennels, and was sharing the ignorance of the "breeders" around here.

Let me guess ... I bet your female isn't spayed ... she gets compliments all the time about how pretty she is and you want her to be your "kennels" foundation dog. You're just looking for a "champion" male to breed her to.

Am I close?
