You know you are losing your mind when....

You have a conversation with your dog. One sided of course. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/no2.gif

LOL I always have conversations with my dogs...heck, I even have arguements.

"I really think you need to go on a diet, Gypsy. Your starting to resemble a sausage."

"....."

"...No, I don't care what you think about it. I'm the human and I say you need to go on a diet."

"Don't take that tone with me! Your getting older and it would be better for you to stay slim. And thats that!"

rsdefwgxvcfdts 08-09-2011 06:37 PM

I talk to my rats...

"Spatula will you friggin' quit chewing your cage bars? They are STEEL and there's no way a baby rat can break through it. I don't care that you wanna try, the sound is irritating."

"Bug you are freaking perfect. Do you want a treat?"

AlexBrith 08-09-2011 06:43 PM

Its one sided? I'm sure they talk back :P mine do. Just watched this the other night, I think it's cute talking dogs.

Logan didn't have much to say when I was talking to him when I got home from work. The radio was on and they were talking about people not getting adequate raises because of the economy. I asked Logan if he was due for a raise because he has been doing a good job protecting the house (barking) and being such a good brother to my son.

I am hopeless.

I talk to Bear all the time lol even if he cant talk he can still give me answers and converse in his own way http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/tongue.png

jerzeygymwolf 08-09-2011 06:58 PM

I'll even go as far as, "Do you hear me?" & "Do you understand me?" when I'm upset and fussing at them. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/no2.gif

choollaBard 08-09-2011 07:17 PM

I swear Bear knows what I am talking about half the time. He had his giant rope toy in the living room and started swinging it around like he was a crazy dog and I was afraid it was going to hit the tv or something, so I said "Bear" and he stopped and looked at me with his rope, I told him "Go into the dining room and swing that dont do it here" and he walked into the dining room and continued swinging it around like a crazy dog.

I dont know if he just guessed but he looked right at me and only walked after I was done talking. He will also be annoying sometimes and I will tell him "Bear, go get your ball" and he will look around where he normally leaves it, under the couch and stuff, and this one time he couldnt find it and I knew I had seen it in the kitchen, so I called his name and he looked at me and I told him "its in the kitchen" and he went into the damn kitchen and got his ball..

He does stuff like that all the time without me pointing or getting up or anything.

lol i talk to Peanut all the time (it beats talking to myself, lol) because its just me and him for most of the day. helps me from losing my mind lol

I love having conversations with Peyton. He cocks his head so much and perks his ears and stares at you like he actually understands what is going on. It's hilarious.

I talk to my cat a lot also lol she has some Siamese in her so she will talk back and that cracks me up more than anything. I will ask her random questions and keep myself entertained like that sometimes http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/tongue.png

I talk to mine more that I care to admit. In fact, I was just doing it without even realized it. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif

My husband does that too and I will say "Just talking to Logan". I honestly don't know what I would do if I didn't see his face when I walked in the door.

I have long conversations with Sadie, she appears to enjoy them. Dh says I seem to like talking to my dogs more than him and I ask why not? When I open my mouth she looks at me so intently as if I'm about to reveal the secrets of the universe to her each and every time - with dh it's not quite the same and he rarely remembers what I've told him either. But when she's in her adolescent ignoring mama and doing what ever she wants phase I use the line from one of the Rush Hour movies where Chris Tuckers says to Jackie Chan --- do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth!!!! I say it real loud and sometimes she stops and looks at me like I'm nuts.

They can talk, I'm sure they all talk back to you, you just cannot hear them!. I remember when I was sitting in my room with Serenity and I was on the laptop, she started scratching at the door to get out and I said 'Shut up and wait! I'm busy' and I got a quick response 'No, get up, I want out now!' ya, I got up and let her out after that. I was NOT expecting a answer back, I was shocked. The other day while playing with Serenity with the flirt pole, I said to Sunny who was walking around looking bored/chewing sticks 'We'll play your favorite game soon' and to that, Sunny went and picked up his ball, looked at me and said 'Lets play it now please' I decided to go throw the ball for him. There are many times I've heard them answer me whole other times I'll talk to them and hear nothing. It's way more fun when your dog talks back. I try not to insult my dogs for this reason.. I got angry at Sunny and told him off, he let me know how he felt, made me feel so bad.

As some people know, I believe in Animal Comminication. I'm not asking you to but dogs can hear us and reply, they do most of the time. Gosh, I've had good conversations with Serenity randomly, just chatting about her issues, mine and so forth. I can talk more easily to Serenity then Sunny for some reason. Talking to dogs is fun.

Then I lost my mind years ago. lol.

I always thought it would be cool if dogs could talk, but I am afraid if mine could she would never shut up. And I'm not sure I'd like what she would have to say. She has been around me to long. She probably swears like a sailor. (Something that I have gotten so much better at not doing since becoming a mother)

I do that constantly.. and I sometimes "answer" for them.. I have a problem with talking like I'm the dog.. it's a little embarrassing at times when I realize what I'm doing LOL. Like Wilson, in my head, probably sounds like a surfer/stoner guy. Piper would probably sound like one of those woman who does weightlifting, all pumped up on steroids.. and Sako would be the annoying kid that just wants everyone to play and be his BFF.

Ugh. I have no life http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif
