Default frazzled nerves
okay i just took Peanut out to go pee in our front yard on leash. he was under our tree going pee and out of no where a GSD charged at us from across the street. the dog had on no collar no leash and i seen no one. i am outside in my jammies and have on flip flops the dog got a few feet from us and i yelled no no dog get away. i feel like an idiot now for yelling like that but i had nothing on me to get teh dog away. Peanut had an exhausting day today and he is tired he did nothing he gave a few barks but no lunging no nothing i think he more reacted to me yelling at the dog.
when i turned Peanut away from the dog Peanut peed on my leg, the poor guy didn't even notice the dog enough to stop peeing.
to make myself feel worse i almost hit the dog if it didn't stop coming and it turned out it was my next door neighbors dog (i didnt recognise the dog) he was running from the other way down the street where he had been chasing her, they have company over that let her out. he apologized to me and i told him i was just startled. he doesn't speak much english but is really a nice guy.
Peanut did good not trying to get the dog but i sort of feel like i over reacted but it is known to us that Peanut doesn't get along well with GSD that he has met in his classes and here it is 9:00 after a big weekend where i was almost asleep and i see a dog charge directly at us full speed across the street to us.

my adrenaline is going and once i got in the house myself was shaky.

yeah i was proud of my boy and happy that he was so tired. i felt so much stress come on out of nowhere he seemed like he had no idea what was going on.
i wish i had been wearing pants i was in shorts he peed on my leg. i suppose though he was relaxed enough to keep peeing meanwhile i sound like a crazy person.
i didn;t want to take him out back because the other night there was a stray cat creeping around when we went out there so i thought front yard on leash is better, no it was just as bad.
i am happy that other dog is pretty friendly but it has been in yard fights with dogs they sit for so never know.

Hey, at least you can just wash your leg... no clothes ruined!

Sorry for the startling... but thank goodness for happy endings!

yeah i have calmed down just feel dumb lol.

i am very happy it ended with nothing makes me think though when i go outside at night i should probably bring something never know if something will happen and it seems to when you are the very least prepared.

i was really proud of Peanut though he woofed because he was reacting to me acting a fool rather then him carrying on and actually focusing on the charging dog.

I am happy no one was hurt. I am also marveling that people with dogs and kids are so relaxed and nonchalant when it comes to pee and poop, lol.

Yea..that sucks glad it turned out well and at least the neighbor apologized..looks like he needs to teach his guests not to let dogs out. I had someone do that yesterday....hold the front door wide open and stand there talking while Slayer went running. Thank god her recall is good.

Glad all is well and I'm betten you could use a B12 fix right about now....and at least it was Peanut's pee on your leg.

I'm dumbfounded that guests would just let a dog outside in the front without EVEN asking or considering any kind of leash on dog...??

Glad it didn't end up being even more nerve wracking!! I know accidents happen, but I hate when people don't work harder to secure their dogs. Of course, mine have gotten loose, but I'm always running behind them screaming at them with leash in hand, and luckily, they haven't gotten loose in... well, I won't jinx myself, so I'll just say it's been a while.

Here's to peed on pants and nothing worse!

yeah it was funny i came in and sat down for my nerves to calm down before i cleaned the pee, after all it was just pee its not like he hasnt peed on me before from excitment

the neighbors don't really speak much more then broken english i think it was a cultural barrier with letting dogs run out. i felt bad though that he was chasing the dog with a leash alone. had i not been out there with Peanut i would have helped since his guests were standing around while he was running all over the street trying to get his dog.

i am happy that i just seemed like an idiot yelling at the dog i ended up recognising once i seen the owner.

i have to report though Peanut behaved really well today when i had to take him to the vet ro diarrhea he walked past the other dogs with out notice also he let 2 dogs come up and smell his butt. he was either being a good boy or his tummy hurt. still i was happy that he was well behaved his body language even stayed calm
