My dog sleeps at the foot of my bed.
I actually got woken up at 5am this morning to her puking all over my bed and her dog bed. I didn't get to sleep till after 3am so I've had a horrible nights sleep. I was washing my sheets till almost 7 and was able to get a couple hours of shut eye after that. What a crappy night. |
Bentley is usually in his crate with the door open. I like him in the bed with me but he's a huge bed hog and I never get any covers! And he likes to sleep on my pillow with me. But when he's really good, he gets the bed. He kills bugs for me. There was a huge inch and a half long centipede that was too quick for me to get but Bentley got it! This was on Tuesday, so he got to be in my bed a couple days for that one. Plus his crate is being cleaned right now. He'll be back in there tonight.

My dogs sleep in my bedroom with the door closes.
Katie-Sleeps on the floor because other wise she tries to sleep on the pillows above your head. Chaos- Sleeps under my feet at the end of the bed..faithfully every night. Gauge-Sleeps on the floor next to Katie on right on the edge of the bed next to my boyfriend. Wally is new so he is still choosing his sleeping spot but normally he sleeps under the in table on a dog bed I bought him though about 4 am-5am he gets up next to me and curls up...I think he gets cold because the mornings at my house are always soo cold. Of course where the dogs sleep are relevant as to who is home that night and/or if they don't get kicked off the bed. |
Cleo & Torque sleep in their kennels outside.

Veronica sleeps in bed with us.

If I fall asleep on the couch, I usually wake up to find Nikis head on my legs with the rest of her sprawled out, while I am cramped up in the corner. Usually Doug will wake me up when he gets up at 5am and I crawl into bed with muscles protesting. After he takes her out for doody duty at about 5:30am, she jumps up onto the bed and curls up with me for another couple of hours. I dont think I could sleep without her now, shes turned into a big old warm security blankie! http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/lol.gif

Rigby sleeps in bed with me. It started out as a necessity because my house is very poorly insulated and I don't usually heat it because it costs way too much. I tried her in the crate, but the crate would shake because she shivered so badly. Now, she just loves it. Even now in summertime, she INSISTS on being under the blankets, and usually by morning ends up with her head on the pillow next to mine, perfectly tucked in.

Miley sleeps in bed with us

Zoey has slept on her bed spot in my room since day one. Never had one day/night where she slept on my bed.
Now if I am taking a nap on the floor in the loft room then she sleeps right beside me http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/biggrin.png |
Raj is a terror when left unattended so he sleeps in his crate nice and quietly until about 11 (when my lazy ass wakes up lol)
Willow is a doll and such a cuddle bug (shes a small thing so its no bother...except when she decides to sprawl lol) and does best out of the crate overnight so she sleeps in bed with us or she goes and sleeps on her perch on the top of the couch. |
I have a total of 2 couches, 2 love seats, 1 recliner, a twin bed just for the dogs in the basement and 3 crates plus a few rugs. Dogs are free to sleep on any of it. Ike and Rita sleep in bed with us most of the time and Owen takes his pick of furniture. If the hubby is snoring, Rita and I will sleep on one of the couches. Sometimes Ike, who normally snores right along with him, will also get annoyed and come out to sleep on the loveseat. Once the hubby is up for work, the dogs and I will go into the bedroom and curl up together til have to get up. If the hubby and I want intimate time the dogs get kicked out of the room and have to find some random comfy spot to sleep.

in bed on me. during the day he will nap in his man cave or his bunk bed or the couch. at night always in bed ever since the day he came home http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

The cats sleep on the bed now since there are just way too many dogs! lol Tank and Arez are out all night.... they have a single mattress on the floor beside the bed. They will sometimes wander off to their crates though. The rest are crated over night. When Tank and Arez pass, I'll probably rotated who is out at night. With their age though, they are better off loose. Tank seems to be getting a bit senile and is having a hard time handling any confinement away from us. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/frown.png

Fun thread.
routine was: Archie slept in his crate all night until one of us woke in the AM and let him out. Then he would hop under the covers w/whoever was left in the bed. Always butt up and nose to our feet. (why is that I wonder?) Routine now: We let him sleep w/us while on our getaway last weekend so now when I say I'm going to bed he follows and sleeps in our bed all night. Not sure if that is a good thing? We will see. I never let any dogs I ever had sleep w/me before. What is it about Pit bulls that is so magical. Oh this reminds me of a funny bedtime story: When my son was almost 2 yrs old (he's almost 25 now) we adopted a mutt puppy from the shelter. That puppy was always trying to get up on the bed. One night I was fast asleep when I felt the little bugger jump up on the bed again. Well that's it. I gave her a little shove w/my foot and heard a thump and then a ummph sound NOT similar to any sound a dog makes. When I sat up to see WTF was that. I see my son laying on the floor looking up at me wide eyed. Needless to say I don't kick dogs or children off my bed anymore. Bad Mommy. |
Mine sleep on the floor on their beds in my room. The old dog sleeps in a crate.

Mine have their own bedroom. But lately we've been letting them sleep on dog beds in our room. The rule is if Nick gets on our bed twice during the night, they have to go back to their room. So far he's been really good. But the second my alarm clock goes off, he's on the bed. Once he gets up, I invite Rosie up. She stretches out next to me on the edge. Nick burrows between DH & I, then starts pushing.

On my bed, either at the foot, in the middle, or right up next to me. But mainly it's at the foot of my bed.

Ronon, Ripley and Rocky sleep with me. Casper sleeps on a dog bed on the floor beside my bed. Pongo sleeps in the master bathroom under the vanity table.
Circe, Jack and Jasmine sleep with my roommate. Foster dogs depends on the dogs, some crated, some loose after we find out their behavior. Right now all have been adopted! I have when my roommate was on vacation woke up with all of them in bed with me. Talk about a sore back and stiff neck. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png |
Right now DixiBoo sleeps in our closet with nine babys. Usually she sleeps on us in the bed.
