[mybooboo]

Tonight, I took my two dogs to the park (soccer field) like I do everyday and it was around 8:30pm. My girl Cali bolted off from me for the first time. It is a wide open soccer field that is 1.1 miles away from my house. The time was around 8:30 pm when it started getting dark and she took off. Me and my boy Blue ran home looking and calling for her on the way. When I got home about 11 mins later, she apparently made it home before us. There was blood all over the front door and porch. I followed the blood to three of the neighbors front porches and knocked on their doors, but they said they didn't see her. Finally a cop came and he took me to a house who had my dog. Apparently, the people who took in my dog called Animal Control instead of calling the phone number on the tags...WTF? Anyhow, my girl Cali ran another 1/2 into someone's open garage and was kept there until I picked her up.

When I saw my dog, it appears that the only thing bleeding was all of her front paws...Her nails are all grounded down to the skin. I'm planning on taking her to the vet tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm wondering what could have happened to her.

Is it possible that she could have got ran over, but only got trapped underneath and dragged and that's why her claws are all filed down and bleeding?
